I still like MGS2, and will get it, I just thought it wasn\'t as good as other ppl said it was. And since its one of the most anticipated PS2 games (even by me) I mentioned it to draw a comparison (of sorts) between the 2 systems games.

So you werent impressed with the demo eh?, first off poo to you for being such a spoil sport and second it is just that, a demo. Hideo Kojima has said many times that demo represents only a very small portion of the gameplay / graphics that are going to be released with it. Now, this may be a M$ "OOH THEY ARE 50% DEV-KIT GAMESTOCK SUCKS DONT HATE ME BECAUSE I HAVE MORE MONEY THAN YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY COMBINED" type of quote, but for some reason I trust a brilliant game designer more than a faceless (rather, i wish faceless because big billy G is so goofy looking) corporation over matters relating to games. Demos are not supposed to totally amaze, awe and draw you into a complex virtual world, if that were the case they would be games. Elsewise (my new made up word), demos are just FREE (most of the time ) glances at a game to come, to see if you enjoy the basic idea. Now, if for some CrAz-E  reason you do not feel the least bit inticed by the MGS2 demo then by all means do not buy it. I personally think you will be missing out on fantastic experience and I cannot wait to get my Demo along with another *****in (yet admittedly flawed) game Z.O.E.

Mb the graphics in MGS2 arent like UBER life-like and ultra shiny like our friend the namesake of this thread, but it is the attention to detail and complex, yet endearing and intriging story that made MGS such a fantastical effort and will nearly certainly do the same for the Sequal, Sons of Liberty.

I said both that I liked it, and was getting it. I said it was just not the best game ever like some are acting like. And I believe some Japanese stranger the same as I trust Gates\'. What\'s so special about Hideo Kojima that your sure he wouldn\'t lie? You know him personally?

Gamestock was an embarassment for MS. They shouldn\'t even waste there time showing off anything until they have completed hardware

I pre-ordered an XBox 6 months ago and I\'ve lost more interest because of Gamestock as did a ton of others. So if XBox is powerful then its best for MS to just keep its yap shut till it actually can prove it.

   Why even bother with the xbox... Just stick with your PS2.  I mean if your impressed with a DVD player that just happens to play games as a kludge then by all means stick with what you got.

   PS2 is already a failure by the majority already.  The only reason why its selling is because of a DVD feature and not merits on its own.

   My friends who were PSX fans are waiting until gamecube and xbox comes out before buying a console.  What this means is that sony has lost a lot of people already.  The majority of people who bought the PS2 are from Japan buying a DVD player and not buying games.

   The only people that love the PS2 are fans like yourselves which would buy any sony console even if it had colecovision graphics and of course love to watch the Matrix on DVD.
