Personally, I\'m glad they trimmed down the car list to focus on perfecting the handling and road physics. I don\'t miss most of the cars cut such as the BMW 323ci, Dodge Avenger, the legion of Civics, Cosmos, Skylines, etc. Sure, the more the better but the current list is stronger in my eyes with returning favorites and hot new rides such as:
2000 Acura CL 3.2 Type S
2000 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (finally!)
2002 Mazda RX-8
2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR
2000 RUF R-GT
2001 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version
and of course
No. 88 Nomad Diablo GT-1 (woohoo!)
Gran Turismo 1 was the perfect driving game for me for its time. GT2 saw minimal gameplay tweaks, added some annoying bugs, and seemed more of a car collecting game with 400 vehicles, only 100 of which could fit in the garage, and only about 10 I use regularly. I still enjoyed GT2 very much but it didn\'t have the same impact as the first game. Now with GT3, I believe I\'ll get that same fresh GT feeling again. New tracks, new cars, weather effects, superior rally engine, heat haze and sun glare. And in a few weeks time, it shall be mine.
