I was looking at my playstation 2 like I do everyday for an hour and I got to thinking, "Is this a system that the younger audience can handle"? Now im talking about the system itself, not the games or something else you thought I was trying to make a point on. It seems to me that a 10-11 year old wouldnt know how to operate the machine properly. Most of us are use to the "Insert game, turn on, and play", but now the PS2 seems like it would be too hard for any parent or non-computer literate person. Now, this is the first system i\'ve seen (besides sega cd and I think 3DO) that has a tray for the cd/game load. Little kids could easily break that off! I know that sony was going for a "computer" system, rather than a console. Also, I think that another problem is the stand by and main power options. PS2 has 2 power sources! Another thing, a little kid wont know what a browser and system configuration is. The PSone had POWER and RESET in big letters (kinda) and only 2 buttons. Now, im not bashing, I love my PS2, im just a little concernd for the younger audience and whether it was a smart move by Sony. I also dont know how/if that will effect the outcome of the console wars. What do you think?
