Klonoa 2: 1st Impressions (Unicron! read..)

               


The game starts out with what seems to be the main character coming back to life (in a dark place, then he\'s surrounded by light) then pops up unconcious in the ocean to drift back to shore. (good news for Unicrons sis, thats really why I posted this before playing more).


 


So far (15 mins in) it plays like a georgous remake of the original, but I expect further in I\'ll come across new mini games and gameplay features that werent present in the original. The in game cinemas are great, like a living cartoon. In fact, if there werent some slight jaggies, I\'d say better than JGR even.


As I play more, I\'ll add more info... I need to figure out how to save though...

The game looks very beautiful and the graphic-style is very personal, I can see

Please write a review as fast as possible - I\'m beginning to get interested about that game...

I played some more, beat the first boss, figured out how to save. I must say this game is almost EXACTLY like Kirby 64.  Some more thoughts as Im playing:

-The jaggies arent as bad as they seemed at first, after seeing more videos, It looks even better.

-After figuring out what the little dog (?) was saying, I figured out a key move that got me a lot farther. The levels are bright and imaginitive.

-Rayman (and DKC) style map leads to the levels.

-So far though, still little break up in gameplay. I flew on the back of a bird with limited control, and was \'pushed\' along some hills Tarzan style.

My current recommendation: If you liked part 1 or Kirby 64, this is for you. If not, after you tire of the graphics theres not much for you. I personally think it\'s worth a purchase.

While I\'ll continue adding comments as I go, dont expect a number based review, those are useless IMO...

Sounds sweet, I\'m buying this when it comes out.

why is this thread directed at unicron! ?

His sister was upset at the ending of Klonoa 1.

yea, she was so sad cause he croaked she was crying, and this will make her feel much better


i am interested in this game, i may even buy it, but img gonna get tokyo extreme racer first mwahahaha, it comes out this month, does anyone know of a release date?

Yeah my sis is too sensitive.It was a very touching scene.
He liked him so much.She cant watch cute characters suffer:).

I just though about it, he might not be ressurected, he mightve just been in a coma too. I dont speak japanese, so I\'m not sure....

just so you know adan, we were talking about unicrons sister not EThuggs

The ending to Klona was certinaly different.  You would never expect something like that with a game as colorfull and cute like Klona.  I can understand why some people might cry at that ending..especially kids

Yeah.Even I found the ending quite disturbing for a game that is supposed to be for kids as well.It was unexpected.
She(and me:))got so happy the bad guys got beaten and  the ending was supposed to be like a harmony and a normal happy life for all th echaracters.But the ending was so sudden.
She also bursted all the bubbles so she could find a secret about the story.But again got more upset:D when one character(I dont remember his name) went ro ask Lephise on marriage but she told him that he loved him as a big bother.And then he was crying  alone while Klonoa and Lephise were examining his present he made for her.
