XBox and the controller looks to be made of very cheap plastic.

...I still can\'t get out of my head why Microsoft made the Xbox say friggin\' huge. My friend said he was going to buy an Xbox for sure, until I showed him the size compared to the PS2. He was laughing his a** off and asked me how that was going to fit into his theater system. Even the controller is half the size of the PS2...:rolleyes: I\'m sure it\'ll be awesome, nonetheless...

Yeah.  I always thought it had a very dusty, cheap appearance but it must have something to do with the flash of the camera interacting with whatever material the Xbox is composed of.

I take it you all saw the pictures of the ps2 and xbox,side by side,if you look there the xbox looks really cheap,ps2 is the best looking console by far.

The X-Box is big because there has to be good airflow,the GPU has what 57million transistors and the core is running at 250Mhz,I\'ll be damned if the thing doesn\'t need active cooling+the P.III chip and the HD.These things heat up.
But that\'s what I think won\'t be nice about it,when you touch the PS.2 and hold it,it feels very stirdy,but I think the X-box might feel like it\'s empty inside because of the need for good airflow.However the controller looks stirdy to me,and I think ill be confy to hold (I liked the DC shape alot) and accourding to Firingsquad it\'s also very light.

Well they gotta fit that mobo somewhere. Damn thing has almost got the same footprint as a desktop case.

well if anything the apperance is not the reason i am interested in a xbox - thats for sure

but i think that it may be worthy after a year or two and thats how long i will wait to buy one

Come on peeps, all things look crappy with a crappy camera + flash. Try taking a picture of your PS2 in the same way/light and you\'ll that it looks like cheap crap too. :)

BTW nO-One, I think I\'ll move this to off topic... it isn\'t really console debating, but it doesn\'t really belong in the main forum either. I hope you won\'t get too mad. :p
