Well once again we are treated like s**t.

(Dates taken from http://www.eb.uk.com which has just been updated).

Crazy Taxi is now 25/05/01, from 01/05/01 and 27/04/01 before that.

Operation Winback is now 18/05/01 from 27/04/01.

Oh yeah you want to here some more news...

Red Faction is now, wait for it, your not going to like it...

22/06/01 (thats nearly the 7th month of 2001!), originally this game was set for 5th of May.

We still don\'t have The Bouncer, Onimusha Warlords and other games like Ring of Red.

Did I mention that being a UK games player completly sucks!!!!

Also you can say that we will get games like Wipeout Fusion, The Getaway and Project Eden first but chances are they will be released at the same time world wide, or if not your not going to have to wait like 3 months for games like we do.

Yeah this is really bad.

Its been happening since the launch of the PS2 in europe. I remember when some of the games wasn\'t even on the shelves on launch day.

I can\'t see this changing any time soon to be honest.

Im going to get myself a mod chip I think!

Not for the piracy but for the imports. Currently such a chip doesn\'t exist (since imports need to be backup up and patched before playing).

When a chip is released which is soley for importing games then im getting it installed.

Im sick of having to wait for games when developers excuses are lame.

I mean is there any good reason as to why we shouldn\'t be playing Onimusha Warlords on our PAL PS2s right now ?

Also i was in EB yesterday, talking to the manager about GT3,and i asked if it had a release date,he said he was speaking to a sony representative and they think it will be out the 25th of july, but on the website of eb it say 1 july.
What is going on why are you getting treated like this,we have had to go through the delays as well,so why should we wait much longer then people in the usa,or japan,it is starting to piss me off!!!!!!!!

25th of July!!!!

Yeah it seems all the games keep getting pushed back a month or in some cases more.

25th of July would so much suck!

We have waited for GT3 like everyone else and for it to be released in June for America and Japan and then 25th of July in the UK would be the final straw.

I was under the impression that GT3 would be released in the 2nd week of July. Damn release dates. you can
understand how people get confused and quite frankly fed up. No biggie tho\' as long as i get my copy of GT3 on
release then i\'m happy.

Oh well :)

We\'ll get WRC2001 and Dropship first ;) (Sony says DropShip is a EU title only.)

Im behind you rich on the \'chipping\' issue. That said, i wont chip my machine until a \'proper chip\' has been released.
That said, i mean a chip that will play original imports. I\'m not interested in copies of PS2 software in any way.
I just want to make that point clear. I am against piracy. Be nice though if sony licensed a \'Boot CD\' to play
imported titles. Would make life a lot easier eh?
It would be nice to have the Full speed, Full screen versions.

Yeah chipping can be dodgee. On the otherhand if its installed successfully the console can live as long as any other just with the added bonus of playing imports.

I wouldn\'t mind as such but here is a list off the top of my head of games that we have had to wait for.

Midnight Club
Summoner
Unreal
Crazy Taxi
Red Faction
GT3
Operating Winback
Gun Griffon Blaze
Onimusha Warlords
WCD Thundertanks

Just to name a few.

Also we had to wait for the hardware.

Its really anonying and I personally can\'t see it altering at all.

Yeah i think you are right too, with MGS2 i really carnt see us getting it either, one thing i dont understand is with the hell did we get z.o.e first?
I really dont think games companys take the uk,no sorry europe serious sometimes,i just dont understand it,it is a big market share,so why dont they start treating us better,if it is ok to make us wait, then why not delay the release in the usa, then have a same day release ?
I am not saying they should do that because then it isnt fair on people in the usa, they need to come to a happy medium, with these games.
One more thing how the hell can getaway have a world wide release, and a game like onimusha, from capcom not.

Agreed! We could see MGS2 slip into June 2002 and that would just be too bad.

The world wide release thing I just don\'t understand. Games developers can do this as they have done in the past so why don\'t they do it more often ?

Why is it taking months for them to get Onimusha Warlords over to Europe ?
