I saw this a little while ago, and thought... if only it (FFXI) was not to be released on PC (too easy to cheat).  But yeah, it\'s good news for us PS2 owners.  I think that square hasn\'t totally given up on the idea that eventually FFXI could be played by Xbox and GC owners, there are just no plans to make that a possibility right now.

I couldn\'t see porting the redo of FFVII-FFIX onto Xbox and GC, cause that seems like a lot of work for what will probably be an inexpensive, quick way to make a few extra bucks for them... I know I\'ll buy it though, damn their oily hides! :rpissed:

I am not sure but I don\'t think that FF will be PS2 exclusive but in the next two years the PS2 will rock the FF universe

No its not. I didn\'t see the part where it said FF7-9 are exclusives. It only said FFXI was exclusive to the PC and PS2.

Also, if I\'m not mistaken, hasen\'t there already been a FF game on the Wonderswan colour? They tried to develop for GBA but they got shut down by that moron Yamauchi. The second he leaves Square will sign on with Nintendo to develop games for GBA.

I\'m not trying to start an argument here, but only FFXI is official SO FAR.

I would like to see all the solo games of the FF series being PS2 exclusives but why have FFIX PS2 exclusive? After all the more deverse set of gamers in the FFIX world the more fun it will be.

Imagine having clans of PS2 owners battling the XBox scum ;) j/k.

I agree, I find it unlikely that there won\'t be any FF games on other systems in some capacity eventually. I think Nintendo\'s new systems have a great chance of getting FF in some form despite what Yamauchi says.

Well Friend,

      Bandia went around and asked alot of developers to not only make games for thier system but take stakes in it as well. Square has not only put money into the Final Fantasies and other Games it is doing for the Wonder  Swan, They have bought shares in Bandia. Which is why thier are those of us who believe that Square wanting to develope for the GBA was ludicris.

And in another story Square has sent out press releases stating the the PS2 and PC would be getting remakes of 7, 8 , and 9. If they were going somewhere elts they would have mentioned it.

And Final Fantasy X, XI, and XII are OFICIALLY PS2 PC exclusives.Seeing as its darn neer two in the morning I cant acomidate with links at the moment.  I was just checking mail and had to respond to this. I\'ll have some links tommorow.

Ahh but will billyboy get around this problem by simply porting Final Fantasy from the PC to the Xbox. He is a slippery b@stard, he may just make some sort of PC emulator. you never know
