yEAH there are a lot of good games coming out when xbox launch the main one I am wanting is mgs2 and maybe gt3, but I can always rent gt3. I am so ready for a new gaming experience that no one or two games can stop me from buying the next gen consoles. I just can\'t see missing out on some great games from xbox. Seeing how I play a lot of multi-player games and sony does not have a lot of good ones out . I can\'t wait for xbox and gamecube.(I don\'t what has happen but I see nintendo in a different way after playing 007 and winback)

But how many online games have been announced for the Xbox?  Unless I have missed something, the only one is Rayman M which is also coming to the PS2.  This E3 is when both the Xbox and the PS2 should show their online plans, so I wouldn\'t judge the PS2 or the Xbox until then.

But this is all based on the fact that xbox has a strong showing of games at launch and if it does then that is all that is needed. I think all the hype has settle on ps2 and it needs to show use some better games. Hhehe I can be critical of ps2 because I am not a fanboy to any game system. I want the best quality of games. whether it be at 299. or 199.99 I am tired of pissy sorry launches from companies. I thought dc launch was decent. And ps2 launch was just below level.  If xbox proves that it is the superior game system a price tag of 299.99 can not hurt it.

PS2 games now are fine. They could be better they could be alot worse. There are a solid library of cool games to be had NOW

BUT by the time Xbox releases the PS2 will have a solid 30 or so games that are very buyable and cool so you argument about games makes 0 sense to most of us

What you fail to completely understand is the console war will be decided by casual gamers not us diehards who no the in and outs of almost all systems

These casual gamers will recognize the PS2 and GC form SOny and Nintendo, they\'ll recognize familiar franchises and they\'ll recognize a cheaper price tag.

Xbox will suffer quite a bit if it does not go in with the mentality that we\'ll take a huge loss on the hardware and make it back later or next round

MS and XBox needs to do everything possible to open the casual gamers eyes to it over recognized brandnames with cheaper prices

Xbox IMO will not be over $299

Don\'t forget that they can also rerelease all the best ,early titles at a lower cost to combat the newer systems.

Microsoft is a recognized brandname.  Admittedly they are not much known for games, except for the Flight Simulators...  I think if Ma and Pa from Gary Indiana decide they want to buy a $300 console for junior (for whatever reason), they might give Microsoft additional consideration due to the brand.

P.S. If Microsoft ever releases and XBox version of Outlook, I\'m going on a killing spree.
