I\'m writing due to enraged anger after reading the posts about having to have made 500 posts to just get into prelimanary stages of getting into a forum online team is just plan unfair.  I know what you mean about \'bonding\' by getting closer to members to enable a closer atmosphere but surely an online team should be based on skill not the number of posts.  Who would care to join a team of people too busy posting messages on a forum rather than sharpening their skills and getting their ar**d kicked in Quake 3 and GT Online in the process.  I bet you that a lot of newbies, which I must state are still members of the forum and should not be seen as anything different and have just as much right as older members, can kick some old members butts anytime on any game.  I for one am a great fan of the forum and browse it everyday, more than three times a day just to keep track on what\'s happening and what people have to say,  I respect a lot of our members because they are the ones who keep me posted on all the news, but I for one don\'t post anything until I have something useful to say or ask.  Checking and browsing the forums three times a day!  If that\'s not comitment i don\'t know what is.  Surely just because I don\'t post as much doesn\'t mean I can\'t play in the team.  Finally, I think that the team should have a rotation system which would give the whole forum some bonding just as much or even a knockout league on games so determine who joins the team for a certain game for a certain time!  That\'s all I have to say.
If you need help,
I will be there for you my friend,
I will never let you down.

I think it sucks to. I only have about 15 posts but im as dedicated as the next person. Im just new here. But I think it\'s a good idea. It\'s just stupid. At this rate I wont be able to be part of this thing until next year sometime.

Well im not far from 500 posts but I sort of agree.

Post count is a stupid thing to base any rankship on. Some people simply post too much while others don\'t.

I have 300 odd posts yet I registered in Nov2000, theres people on the board who have more (like Ethan_Hunt) and people who have less (like rlau1980) all registered in Nov2000.

Time registred on the board should definatly come into it.

PS - I read the boards approx 3 times a day.

yeah this is kinda silly, i check this place a lot, but dont post as much as i should as someone else has already said what i was gonna say, etc. i think im pretty close to 200 post now, if its gonna be like you got2 get 500 posts, it wil put some people off, or there will be a lot of spamming

Hey guys, don´t be mad !!!
I once was in the same situation like you... and I´ve posted 500 just to get a PIC !!!!!!! :D

So, if you are into PS2 and online gameing, it´s no great thing to gain 500 postings !

Every journey starts with the first step... so keep on posting (DON´T SPAM :D ) !!!

BTW: There´s still some time left till online gameing and you will have your 500 postings by then...
I´m sure ;)

By the time we get on-line gaming you should have a few more posted, but that is one of the reason that i have posted 150 postes since saturday. On saturday and sunday i posted 50 messages each day.
On the 15 of March 2002, i was going to leave these forums for good.
But on the 16 of March i realised i couldn\'t ever say bye to you guys, so i am staying here for good!

If you bothered to read the topics, you\'d find that it is likely to be lowered. Quit whining about it, it just makes you looks less attractive as a member. The reason there is a post number in there is so we don\'t end up with a bunch of people that never play, never contribute, or act like jerks all the time. There most likely will ALWAYS be a post requirement to keep this from happening. There\'s no other way to screen people other than by getting to know them through the forums. Sorry, but that\'s life.

hi i respect what you are sayin arron but i totally dissagree with the whole 500 posts thing!

i have come up with a plan that i think you will agree would sort everything out well here it is....

(drum roll please)

why dont u base entry on average posts instead of number of posts !!  for instance , some people like myself and fatal exception post on average of 6 posts a day and up till not long ago it was about 11 ! and we both joined in april 2001!! this wayeverone would be happy and it would be very obvious to yourselves who is a constant poster !!

im not 2 bothered as i think (fingers crossed) that by that time i will have reached 500 posts !.

oh yeah if 500 posts is the set number i would watch out because nearer the time of online gameing u will see a HUGE rush of spamming

just thought i should put this idea forward

cheers guys

Yo, 500 posts are too much but I can understand the administrators and older members because they want to get sure that you don\'t come to the clan and two weeks later no one knows where you are.

Bunch of whiners.  By the time they really get online gaming going and if you can\'t muster up 500 posts, then you shouldn\'t be allowed in the clan anyway.

If you can\'t think of 500 things to say to the people in your clan then why do you want to be in the clan?

You guys act like we are going online tomorrow.
There is no way to practice and have tryouts so like Aaron said post count is the only thing we can base judgement on. Even when we do get online post count will still probably be a factor. Quit the *****in\'

I totally agree why should it be based on posts when posts have nothing to do with ones skill in video games.  I come to the forum to brose at least 3 times a day, i just dont post because i do not like the enviroment here(enviroment, not information. I enjoy reading what u all have to say) and i feel that what ever i say will be flamed or tossed a side by some jerk-off. hell this post will probably be changed by mm or something as he changes anything he disagrees with.

ps. i would never join an online team if it had anything to do with mm
