JGR and Shenmue are still better than 90% of the games on PS2 so $50 isn\'t that bad. Why don\'t you get a used one from Ebworld?

Speak for yourself. The DC is easily worth 3x that. I guess no one cares about the quality of games anymore.

Hey!! You didn\'t finish the story. What happens at the end?

The ending of the story is not a happy one, I\'m sorry to say. DC lived out a good life, but never truly reached its potential, and thus, passed away.

DC - You will live forever in the hearts and minds of all true gamers.

July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

I bought  a Dreamcast when they were out of PS2\'s back in Janurary.....man that was a waste. The only game I REALLY wanted to play was RE:CV and after that, there wasnt anything worth buying. I borrowed Shenmue, but it sucked crap. Dont buy it, save your money for Twisted Metal Black and Red Faction.

dud omg... i finally played shemnue today, although the graphics are superb, the game is horrible, i practically fell asleep byt he fact that all they do is talk, i played for about 2 hours and didn even get into a freaking fight!, all i did the entier time i played was ask around for some men wearing black clothes, the acting blows also, im definatly not trying to put down DC, but i didnt see what all they hype was about in shemue. just to much talking for me, sonic is the only game i like so far, havent played RE:CV but i will soon, i think im not going to buy it, onc ei have it, then i have 2 consoles to buy games for, i cant do that, i can only concentrate on 1 console at a time, and right now its the PS2 :)

Big mistake. You WILL regret passing up a great console like the DC.

that\'s really a shame.

If you went into Shenmue thinking it was an action game, I feel immensely sorry for you. Shenmue is an amazing experience that should not be played expecting tons of action(which you get on the third disc), Shenmue is an experience. you Experience the realtime TIME. You experience the weather. You experience the in-depth fighting system. You Experience the action. You Experience the engaging storyline. You Experience the scope. You Experience the vision of Yu Suzuki.

You Do NOT put this game down, or set it down after playing it for a couple of hours. Give me a break. Talk to me when you experience some gaming.

Well it seems you are not buying the DC based solely on the fact that Shenmue did not impress you from the first couple hous, which is admittedly boring.

But, you said you were going to WAIT for the good PS2 games. If you want to play games now, get a DC, there are tons of excellent titles, but it seems as you have never really looked into DC games.

NFL2k2, NBA2k2, Shenmue, JGR, SF3:3, MvC2, Sonic Adventure, Rayman 2, DOA2, VF3tb, Sega GT, GTA2, Soul Reaver, SF Rush 2049, Crazy Taxi, Virtua On: Oratorio Tangram, RE:CV, Soul Calibur, etc, etc, etc!!

research, buy, experience.
