Lemmings - it has had me hooked for, say, 8 years now. You must think that\'s crazy, but the game is absolutely amazing still, and stands the tests of time! I believe many here don\'t know what the game\'s about, so let me tell you a brief explanation.
It\'s a puzzle-game where you control little mindless creatures called Lemmings. They go over series of harder and harder levels, where you\'ll have to save them from traps, blah blah. It\'s quite hard to explain, but the game\'s absolutely stunning still. It\'s one friggin\' hard game, and if you complete it WITHOUT a walktrough guide in a year, you\'re very good. It\'s perfect for all puzzle fans, and it\'s available on playstation [ no wonders, I own it
before PS, I owned it on PC ].
To say I STILL haven\'t completed it completely, as the last levels are SO hard they\'ll have you pull your hair out...
time spent: hundreds and hundreds of hours. this is the game I\'ve probably played the most.
Doom and Doom IIThese were the games sometime ago. I\'ve been playing Doom-games for about 6 years now. They stand the test of time also, and they STILL are the greatest 3d shoot-em-ups ever. If you didn\'t own Doom back then, you weren\'t cool. Those who were good in doom, we\'re cool, and those who had completed it in ultra-violence -difficulty level, we\'re supercool. Nightmare was just a myth, and never even played - it was too damn hard!
Time spent: approx 100-200 hours minimum. Yes I remember how time flied when I played these masterpieces...
No game has gotten even close to the addiction / spent hours than Lemmings and Doom games. Few close ones would probably be Duke Nukem 3d and then FFVII, but they\'re still far away.
