Why I won\'t but the GameCube

Now, this may sound stupid, but please think before you flame what I am going to say.

I believe the GameCube will not be great on the games side."Why?" I hear you ask. Well, it will have plenty of exclusive Pokemon, Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Starfox(blahblah...) games, but I won\'t have many other thirdparty, or PC, or fighting/arcade, or "common" games, which will be on PS2, X-Box, and PC.  I\'ll explain myself...
   My P.C is now out of date, so I got a PS2(and might get an X-Box) to play a large library of games, ported from P.C, or origianal to the system. Lot\'s of different types of games,  from many developers, mayby some ports. I find it hard to explain what I\'m trying to say, but try and understand. Look at many new games posters. They will most commonly say: "Comming soon for PS2, X-Box, and PC" Never is a Gamecube mentioned. Nintendo are too secretive. Sure, almost all GameCube games will be great and exclusives, but you\'ll miss out on many, many games wich will be developed and ported across PS2\'s, X-Box\'s and PC\'s.
           Owning a PS2, I can be in good knowledge that anygame I hear rumblings about will have a good chance at getting to my system.  GameCube will not have that. In fact, games like Broken Sword 3, Red Faction, MGS2, Giants, Alone In The Dark( and more) will all be going to X-Box, some PC and PS2, but none to GameCube.

   Do you understand me?? To really make my point feasable, I\'d have to go into more detail, which would span many pages...but here\'s an overview.

No I don\'t understand you. Because Nintendo caters to a different audience. No matter what, Nintendo makes the best games. Fun, good graphics, ect. Why don\'t you open your eyes a little more

i dont know, i agree with mother, nintendo\'s reputation has come from great games, i wouldnt count them out. im sure nintendo will launch gamecube with 3 or more AAA titles. they have so far with nintendo 64 and super nintendo.

Christ man, we know close to NOTHING about the NGC yet. Reserve judgement until after E3 has passed, at least.

The reason you haven\'t seen the word Gamecube listed with others for third-party games, is because developers are not supposed to mention what games they are making until E3. In fact, Gamecube is getting a lot of third-party support compared to Nintendo\'s last system, the N64. Games that are listed as coming out for PS2, X-Box, and PC, should incite you to get a Gamecube, especially if you own a PC or PS2, because then you not only get the games that are coming out for all those systems, but you\'ll also be getting Nintendo\'s great first and second party games.

If you want a list of third-party developers that are planning games for Gamecube, go to http://cube.ign.com or something, and you\'ll see that it does indeed have fair third-party support.

Each system will have its own unique games, it\'s just a matter of personal taste. Playstation 2 will have Gran Turismo 3, Final Fantasy X, and a bunch more. X-Box will have Munch\'s Oddysee, Bounty Hunter, and more. And Nintendo will have Zelda, Metroid, and more. Wait until E3 before you make any conclusive points, to see what kind of games appeal to you.

1) You mentioned some great games, and although I\'m pretty sure they won\'t come out for Gamecube, you will never know. In fact, no one knew MGSX (although rumoured) or Red Faction were coming out for X-Box until recently.

2) You list game that won\'t be coming out for Gamecube (but will be coming out for 3 other systems), and yet there are a great number of titles coming exclusively to the GC. My point is that, the Gamecube will be unique because of these exclusives. It\'s all a matter of opinions whether or not you enjoy them. Here\'s just a sample list: Resident Evil Zero, Too Human, Eternal Darkness, Perfect Dark 2, Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Pokemon (as long as they make an RPG of it), Waverace, etc.

3) This is also what made the Dreamcast unique and why I love the system so much. It had great exclusive games, but no one was willing to take the risk and buy another Sega system because of the Saturn\'s failure. Unfortunately because of this, the Dreamcast will cease production, but it is still a AAA system with great innovative titles.

I\'m not even going to bother answering that opinion, because I\'ve answered it so many times before.

what the hell does it matter whether or not a system has kiddie games, you needn\'t buy them, what matters is whether or not it will have \'adult\' games, and that remains too be seen, although I think it\'s a safe bet

Bozco is a PS2 fanboy. And thats their main argument towards Nintendo... N64 kicked ass, and I didn\'t think it really had kiddy games. They ones directed at youngsters were fun. Isn\'t that what counts?

why am i a ps2 fanboy, is it just cause i post my opinion i have nothing wrong with the X-BOX i just dont like nintendo anymore

Nothing wrong with XB? It seems you say something negative about it pretty regularly. And you just dissed Nintendo for doing the only thing it\'s known for. That seems at least somewhat fanboyish....

I can not wait til E3 rolls around and I can see some of these people\'s reactions. It is going to be sooo sweet.

Does the X-box or Gamecube have any DONKEY games?  Preferrably ones with ADULT SITUATIONS in them.

This is ridiculous.  How can people call themselves a gamer when they refuse to buy a great game just because it doesn\'t cater to them.  That\'s bull**** at its finest.
