AirForce Delta looks WAY better than RS2 for GAMECUBE
« on: May 11, 2001, 05:59:53 PM »
Ok the RS2 screens for the GAMECUBE look nice but nothing compared to what the XBOX can handle just watch the new NEW AIRFORE DELTA video konami released just a couple days ago

http://www.kcestudios.com/ad2/images/ad2.mpg
Please watch this video, you will be blown away!!!!!!

This is an Amazing improvement over the other pics and video we saw of AFD2 at TGS. Incredible what can be accomplished in a few months. Just imagine what they will have, time launch comes round.

And don\'t forget that this is currently under a Phase2 dev kit which represents 50% of XBOX\'s power. Just wait till they get the NV2A

As for RS2, it doesn’t even compare to this game, in effects and realism.

Eh, I really would rather wait until I\'ve seen more RS2 movies..

But yes, that movie is very impressive.

but the operetta lingers

I\'m trying really hard not to insult the fudge out of you so I\'ll just post what  have to say in a mature fashion.

Take these facts into consideration-

-the RS2 pics do not feature bump-mapping, anti-aliasing, or advanced lighting.

-we have not since RS2 in action yet so a movie of this game might look a lot better(AirForce Delta looked like **** until I saw it in action.

-(main factor)there were very few objects on the screen. RS2 has tons of planes and ships which comsumes more of the Flipper\'s power and that makes this thread an unfair comparision.

I was making the point that even under incomplete Hardware AFD2 is the best looking game, Graphic wise than any other to date. Show me something better right now, GT3, MG2 etc.. do not look better graphical wise.  You say RS2 isn\'t complete, nor is AFD2.

AnyHow E3 should be very interesting, it\'s too bad that we will not get to see games running on the NV2A at E3

ungodly thing i think you are getting into the hype a bit too much... ive always heard this 50% of power... is it really a 50% loss??? keep in mind, many a people, even said that the x box is mostly hype...
im trying to keep you on the ground... yes it looks good. so does gt3..and mgs2. ace combat 4 looks nice( given, worse as of now thanthis game), and its no where near completion.. no movies have come out of the new rogue squadron, therefore nothing to compare the movie to.. try to stay "down to earth"
IM BACK. you have a problem with that? get in the back.

(sorry about the shots being split in two :)   )

While graphically this game may become the "GT3 of the air", there is really no comparing it to RS: 2.  Right now the buildings in AD2 don\'t seem to come close to the the complexity of RS: 2.  AD2\'s environment may jump leaps and bounds between now and launch but there is really no way to tell right now and considering that most flight games ignore structure-detail I am very skeptical.

Well, that game\'s planes looks very, very nice.   At the same time, the most complex scene in it, is an a10 hitting two tanks, in a canyon (straight walled), so overall, I don\'t think it\'s that impressive.  I would like to see a simmilar scene of a couple of those planes fighting 10-15 other planes, flying through a city with all sorts of stuff shooting around them....

you really cant compare a fantasy Arcade sim to a Fighter sim - i mean there is too many differences in gameplay - which people have pointed out

i just think people choose the worng things to compare when they choose the graphics department
This Sig is a Work in Progress.

What I would find the funniest thing is that if when they change over to the final NV2A chipset, games crash...  I can so totally see this happening with an MS product..  Today my IE crashed twice because I tried to open a second window while it was loading a page (stupid POS ... stupid unstable windows)...  Yeah, yeah, I know it shouldn\'t ever be able to happen with a console, it\'s just MS has no skills when it comes to coding or driver making.

That\'s irrelevant, even Netscape crashes. I have never in my life ever seen any sort of computer software be 100% crash proof. Computers will always crash since they are designed to house a multiple variety of software. There it has nothing to do with MS. Imagine Sony making computer software, OUCH!!!!!! So that’s not a far comparison cause what you are really saying is they MS does not make top quality products. Well than ok let’s look at SONY products, CAN you say Garbage. There receivers, cd players, speakers, HT setup products etc.. are utter crap. Does that mean that there console fall under the same class, HELL NO, nor does the XBOX.

Anyhow I was quite DRUNK when posting this topic, I feel I gota little ahead of myself here. One more thing I feel I should mention. I have always been a die-hard fan of flight simulators, and AFD2 not being one of them, but instead an arcade, action style fighter, well doesn’t make me too happy. Nonetheless I would love to play or maybe even own this game.

It\'s really  a GODAMN SHAME that pc flight Sims will takes years before they reach this sort of graphical wonder.

Hey DumbASS pull your head out of your ASS, I never said I hated the GC. Funny you say that when I planned months ago to pre order GC along with XBAUX. LOL
Get your facts straight before you blabber your mouth off. RS2 looks good, I even mention that in the beginning of the thread, if you bothered to read it. But as of right now from the current info that is avalible AFD2 is the best looking game.

Man you have real hatred towadrs the XBOX, it\'s only a console, it wont kill you my friend. Damn you also have a real bad mouth.

They will launch on time definitely. It doesn\'t matter that these games were done on uncomplete kits, cause it\'s XB\'s potential when dev\'s use full kits that\'s the exciting thing. Although I\'m happy with what I\'ve seen on the unfinished kits...

FatalXception-nVidias chipset isn\'t produced by MS. If that were to happen (quite unprobable) it would be nVidias fault.

animal-damn nigga, calm down

Ogodly-The 2 games are pretty different, there\'s no reason to compare these 2 games. AC4 vs AFD2 is somthing you can compare though. And don\'t blame a lame thread on any controlled substances. Your stupid ass posted it, no excuses.

Well, well , well looks who talking "ETHUGG" You have not an ounce of credibility to be judging me
I never made any excuse, just a reason to the nature of my thread, nothing more. Don\'t come in here acting all-noble and wise all of a sudden LOL. Besides I have no regrets for this thread, if you use your brain and your eyes together you can actually go back and read what I said.

In translation, it says i might have over blown the situation a little, but my point still stands out, nothing has changed.

So my stupid ass is it. If that\'s how you want it then so be it.

"Imagine Sony making computer software, OUCH!!!!!!" - TheOGodlyThing

Actually, I\'ve used Sony\'s community place browser quite extensively while trying to figure out weither it might have any relevance to Sony\'s future online plans. (I think it does, but it\'s all just speculation given the facts) Never once has it crashed on me or given me problems in the slightest bit. Granted, due to bandwith limitations VRML sites are extreemely few and far between so the variety and chances of the program going unstable are limited. Then again, try to run any Beta Microsoft Internet Explorer version on only a few websites and I\'ll bet it crashes much more often given the latent instability of their other products. (Though I have no proof to back me up)

You are right in saying that no computer is 100% crash proof. Even Unix systems go down on occassion. However the frequency and severity of the crashes are what cause many people to curse Microsoft\'s name. I\'ve never heard any Linux or Mac user refer to their OS\'s downward sprial so lovingly as to give it a name like "The Blue screen of Death".

Noone\'s perfect, but Microsoft should be putting out more stable OS\'s if they\'d like to have a more positive consumer image. End of story.
