Whoa, I sank low on the other post. Excitement from both E3 and preparation for finals must be getting to me.
First, to start things off; Ogodly, I apologize for the stuff I said in the other post. Emotions make me tempermental sometimes. Hope you\'ll accept my apology.
However, I\'m sorry for how I said it, but not for what I said. The point I was trying to make in still stands. Here\'s why:

This is what really got me boiling in the first place, and something that I\'ve tried to understand for quite a while now. Why is Nintendo "kiddy"?? I acknowledge the fact that Pokemon and Banjo is aimed at the younger market, but that\'s about all I can name off the top of my head. And as I\'ve stated before, neither of those were developed by EAD. Ironically, Nintendo\'s "mature" strength, Rare, seems to be pumping out all the "kiddy" games these days; Donkey Kong, Mickey\'s Racing USA, Banjo Kazooie & Tooie, Conker\'s Bad Fur Day (Blood and fical matter makes a game rather immature, IMO), and the rest. But none, I repeat NONE, of these principal "kiddy" games were created or even thought of in anywhere near Japan.
YES, are you a f*cking Moron. It\'s so obvious that Nintendo is mainly focused on the youths, there games, past history, present, even the system design all show the signs.
[/B]
I could care less if the Gamecube looked like my Mom\'s cassarole. A system\'s design has nothing to do with how "mature" the console or the company behind it is; the games do. X-Box looks like an oversized Dodge bumper, and the PS2 eerily resembles a 1970 alarm clock/radio combination (I would know this since I still have one at home
). Does that make them any less of a great system?? NO!!
I already explained about the present, so I\'ll get to Nintendo\'s past about game violence. I think everyone will agree with me when I say that there was no such thing as "gore" in the 16-bit and 8-bit days. First off, developers couldn\'t simulate blood realistically, and having no real reason to implement such levels of blood, (Until MK came along... damn Midaway), they mainly concentrated on gameplay. Look at some of the greatest games that came out the past generation: Chrono Trigger, Mario RPG, Legend of Zelda; Link to the Past... I could go on and on. And were these games labeled "kiddy," for not having buckets of blood and disoriented zombies?? Of course not!! IMO, I think it\'s unfair to judge Nintendo "kiddy" from their past.
Also ASSwipe did I say The big N wont have mature games, no I didn\'t. I mean come on, of course Nintendo will try and serve to mature crowd, but like I said before they are more focused on the younger demographic. Plus even the adults or the older crowd that are nintendo fans buy the young games like mario, donkey, zelda etc(altough nintendo said zelda would be a more mature game this time round) and nintendo knows this.
[/B]
To concentrate on the younger demographic is suicide; that\'s what Nintendo knows. The majority of the people that play videogames range from teens to adults, fact proven by oh so many surveys and media reports. Also, young people don\'t stay young forever, and they have limited control over the games they buy (I doubt a 7 year old has even heard about Conker). Why would Nintendo want to invest in such a restricted market??
Man you responded to this post in a real harsh manner, which leads me to believe that I must of really hit nerve, the only people I’ve seen respond like this are Nintendo Zealots(not saying your one)
[/B]
I was angry with your post because I was getting tired of people calling Nintendo "kiddy" despite their efforts to uplift the image. Check out the comments that were made tonight alone:
"I wasnt too impressed by too many of the kiddy games that Nintendo showed." - AlteredBeast
"there probably praising those kiddy cartoonish games. I bet they think the LUGI mansion game is pure brilliance" - By yours Truly
"Nintendo was graphicallly amazing, but their lineup was weak and in some areas too kiddie. I agree with alterd beast, nintendo is trying to be mature? they must be joking! Most of their games were all colorfull, happy and kiddie." - Metal_Gear_Ray
I could prattle on and on, but I\'m not going to bore you. Doesn\'t anyone realize why Nintendo acquired Silicon Knights to develop ED and Too Human, or Rare develop Perfact Dark 0, or Retro develop Raven Blade?? Even Miyamoto himself implies that he considers the older market important, much more so that the younger;
"When I said that Mario needed to grow up, what I really meant was that Mario\'s design needs to change as I\'m afraid he was appealing a little too much to a strictly younger age." - Miyamoto, at an interview with IGN Cube
[/B]
But nintendo has this kiddy imagine for a good reason, they gave it to themselves. Also at E3 this year i was expecting to see sharp realitic looking games, but instead we get colorful, cartoonish looking games(most of the games),
gee i wonder does nintendo think of the young ones, Of coruse they do. Not to say that these games wont be fun, but it reminds me of the n64(these screens have an n64 look to them)

But on the same token, check out these pics/renders:
