Okay : BIG Jak&Daxter pics ! still impressive.

The game definetly has Kid appeal, but ND platformers also have a Simpsons effect.

Cartoons are for kids but the Simpsons appeals to adults too.


but all platformers are basicall kiddie or all ages games.



On a different note. Lots of people from IGn\'s Xbox and GC boards claim to be unimpressed with J and D. Stating its just a prettier looking platformer with uninspired graphics and gameplay.

After watching the trailer video and readin a few previews the game is a heluva alot more inspired then what you see from a 1st impression.

So much going on simultaneously, lots of animations and of course the scope or size of the world, and they still managed to maintain a high standard of polygonal and texture goodness


Ontop of this ND always kept there games exciting till the end. All we\'ve seen of J+D is the beginning of the game. All the new moves different areas and challenges that ND puts in there game should definetly make it into J+D and then some.

I guess I see where you are coming from; but the same could be said about Conker and that game was ripped apart.

People always find a way to bash the other platform.

And some of us like all platforms,and don\'t have anything against kiddy games. (it\'s the girly games I hate )

The trailor is sweet, and these screens make the wait for the game much harder.

Has anyone found a direct feed video of J&D yet?

This game looks pretty impressive but the cartoonish graphics aren\'t my cup of tea. Those pictures didn\'t amuse me like some of the Ace Combat 4 / Gran Turismo 3 / Final Fantasy X graphics did some times ago.
All I care for is what the gameplay is going to be liked.

Great looking game. Now, its "cartoonie" look, I don\'t care. I don\'t have a problem with "cartoonie" games. Just as long as the story, gameplay, and is simply fun to play then I\'ll be happy.

Could someone please define the difference between cartooon and kiddie. Come on Princess Monoke was a cartoon but not close to being kiddie. People are forgetting that this game is not a simulation...it is fantasy and that is the feel they are trying to get and do quite well. I only expect picturesque screens from games like GT3 because it it supposed to be real. Anyone who decides not to get a game based on it\'s looks is missing ALOT. The funnest game I have ever played was set on a black background with a little chalk outlined bunny walking on chalk line scribbles (trivia for you...anyone know what game this is...it is on playstation).
Looks can be deceiving. I have spent all week on my latest PS2 purchase...cookies n\' creme which I feel is brilliant but as I can see from other postings many have already ruled out because it has bunnies trying to save the moon.
Your missing out out some great fun.
