but seriously, if anyone hoped that the XB would fit nicely into their entertainment system, or against the wall, imn abook shelf....anywhere neat and tidy...their wrong, they need a fair bit of space. I know i couldnt find anywhere convenient to put it
but thten again, size really shouldnt effect your purchasing of a console
HMm.. you say this because you own the console already???
I actually went to E3 and got to see the Xbox up front. Guys, it is not that big at all...
Bob, if you can\'t find room to put a DVD in your entertainment center, then you don\'t have much add-on space for your entertaintment system at all, now do you?
The Xbox is smaller than a DVD player. It is really quite nice, actually. I got to see it up front. The only complaint I have abotu it (well, actually two complaints) is that the plastic in the center of the console (and the grated sides) is shiny black. It looks very cheap when you go up front to it. The second complaint is that the DVD IR add-on takes up a console port. They should make a port in the middle of the console to plug only into the DVD add on. Then the box would be more symmetrical.
Overall, I liked the Xbox design. Most people here, unfortunately, did not get to see it up front and are only blasting it based on the pictures posted on the net.
On a side note, the GC is very small. I was amazed when I saw it. It is NOT, however, as small as in the picture above. that is not a GC. I have no idea what the hell that was.
I would say that the Xbox is two GCs put together.
