I could just do this on my own, but I\'m curious about what you guys think first --

How about recombining console discussion with the main forum and pc hardward\\software again, political events with off-topic and suggestions with off-topic as well?  That way, all that will be left for public view is the main forum and the off-topic forum.  I just think that\'s the way it should be as this forum, though it carries the name of psx2central is hardly that of a ps2 only site anymore.  We\'re all broad gamers now and we all have our love for different topics at hand and I think we might as well make it one big smelting pot instead of segragating topics.  What do you all think?

For the intelectually impaired, that would look something like this:

Main Forum  \\
Comp Forums ------> Main Forum
Console       /

Political \\
Off Topic -------------> Off Topic

My thoughts

I think we should just put Hints into main and Political into Off-Topic. I don\'t like the thought of only have two forums to potentially click on...I would find it really depressing for some odd reason. Wouldn\'t look visually pleasing for newbies and everyone I imagine.

Maybe it would be better if the main forum was renamed ps2 forum, and console discussion renamed other consoles forum or something similar.

Just a thought.

I agree with deleting the hint and cheats forum and moving political into off topic though.

I don\'t understand what the purpose would be in recombining Current Events and Off Topic.  As I said in the other thread, there is no advantage to combining the forums, only potential disadvantages.  There are such a tiny number of forums here as it is.  Why make it even fewer?

I like the seperation, it seems to keep topics more on track.  When people go into Current Events they cut the spam down, for the most part.

Personally, I like the forum exactly the way it is. Its easy to follow and is easily kept track on who posts where.

I agree about the current events forum.  SOmetimes it seems worthless, but it certainly has helped in keeping it from going off topic.  THose threads usually stay on.  

I also like the idea of changing the main forum to PS2.

Only thing is do we get any new traffic?  Are we linked from any sites any more?

I like the idea of..

Take Console Discussion / Main Forum - the presented idea of making this site goin multi-console has been around for quite sometime and is in the works. No longer a need to seperate the two forums , I think. Any Console Discussion Mods would simply have power in MAIN FORUM also. Same with Hints and Cheats.

Keep Current Events seperate from Off-Topic, due to spamming. However, combine PC HARDWARE / SOFTWARRE to OFF-TOPIC. I know I have to move quite a few threads to the PC forum. No point in having it, as we are not a dedicated PC site anyways.

Get rid of the Journals, only two people use them on the average.
Keep Suggestions.

If the journals are a hassel then maybe get rid of them but I don\'t see what harm they cause as I\'m sure atleast a couple people read them also.
