I havent got much into the game to judge how good it is gameplay wise for my tastes, but the looks is pure marvel. The best 2D animation I ve ever seen(I also liked SF3\'s animation).

GGX is the bigest masher I have seen. I cannot stand this game as you can mash your way to combos, kills, and victories.

It really takes the fun away from the game, although after playing it, every other 2D fighter looks like Ass.

Agreed.  Games just don\'t match the deepness found in a great Capcom\\SNK fighter these days.  By the way Altered, I picked up my own copy of Third Strike and alothough I think it\'s lacking in options in comparison to Double Impact, it\'s still a nice little show piece.  I enjoy the new people a lot, especially Remy.

As for GGXX, that game is VASTLY superior from all accounts that I have read.  Wether that\'s good or bad depends on who is playing, but judging it based on the first is very difficult proposition, especially from someone who knows that with each sequel in fighters, the game changes an incredible amount.  Just look at the differences between Capcom vs Snk\\Capcom Vs SNK 2 and Super Street Fighter II Turbo\\Street Fighter III.  Sure, they share similarities to make them Street Fighter games, but man, these games are vastly different in the most subtle of ways.

Speaking of mashers... I wonder what these people who love Capcom fighters think of the Marvel\\Mavel Vs series that capcom has been doing.  Sure, there is a level of skill involved, in fact a great deal of skill, but that can be said about any game and theoretically, a masher can take out a skilled player if they find just a single weak point in their defense and mash themselves into one of wolverines 15-hit auto combos or worse yet, a 150+ hit super combo.
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.

I think some of the VS series have their own purpose. The Capcom Vs SNK series is much more deliberate and takes a lot more skill. However, the VS Marvel series is highly button mashing. It\'s a good game, but not the greatest. The biggest draw for those games are the amount of characters. Example? Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for the DC. I spent over 80 hours unlocking every secert for that game.

You appeciate games that require zero amount of skill much more when you  have zero amount of skill.

Lames, Lames. Personaly speaking i think that 2d games like all sf\'s and snk games are the shit and while button mashing can be utilized there is a very large amount of skill required to be very good. Not trying to bash but whoever makes these comments obviously hasnt seen true skill or just hasnt given enough time to the game. For example, sf alfa 3 has by far some of the most technical moves ive seen in a 2d fighter. Counters, air recovery rolling recoveries and even counters for throws including alfa counters. As far as DOA3 etc. goes, i thought that they were butting mashers at first until i read about people getting 150 kills in suvival mode. Thats skill my friends whether you wish to believe it or not. On one side button mashing to a certain level isnt so bad. For players that have never really played before and become easily frustrated when losing, button mashing gives them a little incentive to learn more, no? One hit kills? Well i certainly do not see many of these so i could care less. There are a few quote unquote cheap combos that take more than half of your life but when you get good its a lot more difficult for your opponent to utilize these moves. Eh, C\'est la vie, your opinion is your opinion. Just had to had my 2 cents

There is some skill required, despite what you believe. Try playing it on nightmare...er...whatever. My friend mashes buttons...and I can still beat the s*** out of him. Actually learning the moves is more fun. Like Tekken Tag for instance, sure some little kid could kick your a** if he mashes buttons, but...not if you\'re truly good at the game and understand the mechanics of the fighting...much to learn. This is an awesome game, I creamed my pants when I heard the news of another Guilty Gear game. But that really tall guy with the umbrella...what in the hell is that? Funny as hell, though...
