They are not a piece of junk.  Kimahri, have you actually used one or do you just browse boards with bitter purchasers?  The fact that it\'s the most widely sold mp3 player should tell you something about the product.  I mean, look at the PS2, it\'s also the most widely sold console and yet you can\'t enter a forum without some type of thread about it breaking down on someone.

Some sound cards have it, bunch of other PCI cards have it also. The port is kinda pentagon shaped.

You can buy a firewire PCI card for $20 if you don\'t have one.
