PSP and NDS game lists!

Well preferences in gaming aside, it\'s clearly the best handhelf offering as far as power, technology, and graphics are concerned.

I hope that 2D doesn\'t die, though.  The new Super Mario Bros. side-scroller for DS has my money already.

As for the DS - Dumb idea, Nintendo. You have a secure market with the GBA, why clutter the market more? Just pump out some good sequels for the well known franchises and keep on rollin\'.

Like I said, I\'ll buy, may import them instead of waiting for a US release, but neither excite me in the least and I wish both didn\'t exist.

Then dont buy them. plain and simple.

And actually, id much rather play Neo Geo Pocket Color than a huge portion of GBA\'s library.

One thing, is that i do agree with you somewhat about 2d games. I love them dearly. Always have, always will.

Lastly: I dont consider myself a sony fanboy, but i cant say that i hate them. They have gained my respect on some levels. Maybe moreso previously, but nevertheless, I dont hate them. PSP is definately on my list depending on the price.

The PSP is obviously a great handheld console. To just brush off the DS as inferior is ignorant though..

It\'s very plain to see that while the DS has a few traditional games (Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart, for instance) some of the other titles are innovative in both concept and play control.

It delivers experiences that you can\'t get on a home console, unlike the PSP which will successfully bring high-quality gaming, music, and movies to a portable platform in full force. Different ideas entirely, really.

GBA2 will be a much more traditional handheld.. probably equal/better than the PSP performance/IQ-wise but without MP3/movie playback. Nintendo has stated this.. DS is not GBA2 but a third pillar.

The Neo Geo was the best offering (As you said) till it failed for the obvious reasons.With other words it didnt live up to expectations.No? :rolleyes:
The PSP shows a bright future with huige support unless it doesnt live up to expectations as well.So far it seems it does.

I have to agree with you. My only problem is that i just havent seen the innovation behind the DS. I mean, thats what i know nintendo for and with an obsolete piece of technology (well when compared to the psp) and semi rehashed games, it makes me wonder.

Thats all. I do hope that it does well but just for the time being, i dont see too many heads turning. Maybe im missing it but i also remember that the two werent supposed to be aimed at the same market, and now it seems as if more and more people are comparing the two directly.

Honestly, I am buying neither.  I rather play videogames at home with a console rather than carrying a handheld around places...

And DS i believe stands for Dual Screen (original huh?)

The DS looks like crap and I\'ve yet to see they use the second screen for anything original or interesting.

Stop giving the impression that I act like a fanboy.I was describing my expectations from what I ve seen so far.And so far I am impressed.
When it\'s released thats when I ll have a better judgement.And thats what I ment when I said "until its proved otherwise" since the god damn thing isnt released yet and I havent playied any games on it.Excuse me if I werent clear but my English isnt my first language :rolleyes:

I see great support from good developers, games I reckognise and games with potential.All these are what many have been expecting to see and no other handheld seemed to offer so much for generations.And that excites me about this handheld..All we got all these years was a new 8-bit gameboy that got color and GBA that cant even do the quality of  many of todays 2D games.
