Nu:

I hope not, I\'d be really disappointed (regarding framerate).
As for graphics... check the physics, the amount of action going or the scene in which a plane crashes into that building which then falls apart. And IMO, I think KillZone does a far better job at mimicing what it\'s supposed to: War.

IMO (and you can call me crazy) - but Killzone looks miles better than FarCry too. FarCry has about the worst art-direction I\'ve ever seen in a game. For the same reasons, I prefer KillZone much better to Halo1/2.

Pfff graphics. Who cares. I mean graphics are important, but i want gameplay and atmosphere. Atmosphere for Killzone? Looks good to me. Gameplay? sounds promising. People are putting too much emphasis on graphics. Who freakin cares. Look at Socom 2. Graphics are nothing special but the game is so darn fun. Anyways, Halo\'s graphics are stupid anyway. I feel like I\'m playing a cartoon with all those goofy enemies. What in the world were they shooting for with those ridiculous character designs?

I just look at Killzone and get fired up because of sheer chaotic look to everything and the look of the characters. They make me think of Dune (I\'m talking about the 80\'s movie version with those soldiers in the black suits).

You are right.But graphics also play a major part into creating the appropriate atmpsphere thats why Seven speaks so much about the artit direction of the game that is coming from the graphic style and visual events,Also graphic evolution are what keep the PS2 fresh

I\'ve been out of the loop, could someone explain why KillZone has been bashed, and dropped from peoples\' lists as a potential \'Halo killer\'?

I don\'t see anything special with Killzone except for the art direction, which btw reminds me of HL2 in some ways.

Ok, being one of the Dutch guys around here, i\'ll try to enlighten.
Guerilla is based here in the Netherlands, Amsterdam and the games magazine/games tv show PowerUnlimited (which is also resident in Amsterdam) had both hands-on play with KZ before and during E3. They are really very positive about how the game is coming along and they\'re not biased ; these are editors who where generally PS2 sceptic even 1 - 2 years after PS2 launched.

There is one reason why the game got bashed on the internet ;

* the leaked video\'s which showed God-mode test runs of a now 6 months old build.

Both AI and framerate obviously didn\'t look up to par in those vids. But I totally trust PowerUnlimited now on this when they said Killzone is very impressive. The short footage on their tv show of E3 footage looked very smooth.

Of course, on a pure technical basis Killzone won\'t reach Halo2, but the whole art direction and type of gameplay is better to my taste anyway. :thepimp:

Thanks Notter, I always did enjoy reading your posts.

Well, some of them.. occasionally..... when I\'m drunk.

Oh fuck it, this was the first one.
