What do you guys think of Burnout 3 taking best racing game?  Black seems very intriguing also.

Why didn\'t you say Halo 2 won Best of Show?

http://games.ign.com/bestofe3_2004.html

j/k ;)  Don\'t really think of PS2 when it comes to FPS but at least those itchin for the genre have something to play with.

Killzone has officially dropped off the radar as a potential "hAl0 k1ller".  I\'m no longer hyped for it, however I\'ll give it a good rental.

The only game of interest of the PS2 awards lineup is Final Fantasy XII.  I\'m not impressed with the new battle system but the early impressions are saying it\'s a good change.  I wish there had been more news about Xenosaga II :(

I\'m still undecided on my game of the show.  Halo 2 was expected and I wasn\'t surprised when the great impressions started rolling in.  I\'d have to say it\'s a toss up between Zelda and Conker: Live and Reloaded.

I had forgotten about it!  It looks awesome and from what I\'ve read it has potential.  Alot of energy is being put in to the battle system and that\'s what concerns me...I\'d rather be exploring or figuring out a puzzle than fighting a room full of baddies over and over.  I hope there\'s a nice balance.  Definitely one to watch.

For me...

God of War was Sony\'s Game of the Show.

With

Metroid Prime 2 :echos being Nintendos

and

Jade Empire Microsofts Game of the Show.

personally.... KillZone IMO is already a "hAl0 k1ller" in my eyes, as I am totally amazed by the art-direction being pulled off. If they get the aimed 60 fps, I\'ll be very impressed.

Well, graphically Killzone can\'t compete with even the first Halo. But it shouldn\'t be too hard to better Halo\'s gameplay or story if you ask me which I found a little boring.

Anyway, HL2 looks better than both Halo and Killzone in every department. Art direction, story, atmosphere, just about everything seems better and more polished in HL2 than any other FPS coming out this year IMHO.

KillZone not looking better than Halo1?

Alrighty, both games obviously emphasize on different strengths - Halo on bumpmapping and colourful textures - Killzone on gritty realistic colours to mimic true war. IMO, KillZone\'s artdirection beats the shit out of most games on all platforms...

...and if Killzone is 60fps, it\'s definately nullfies any comparasment with Halo1/2 or any other 30 fps game.

Based on the media released so far, I don\'t find KillZone\'s graphics better than HALO\'s. Only thing I\'ve been impressed with so far are the game\'s animations.

... And wasn\'t KillZone\'s framerate bumped down to 30 months ago?
\"Heh... You got burned.\"
