well yea the 10 years isnt for bumper to bumper - i believe that only covers the drivetrain

and yea there is 3 yrs on the whole car - and 5 years on something else i will have to go back and check - in all its better then no warranty at all - and not having to worry about previous owners

Some manufacturers like Hyundai offer a longer factory warranty in the US, but they do so voluntarily.  The federally required minimum warranty is 3 years / 36,000 miles.

Typically the "powertrain" warranty covers the engine, transmission, and associated parts.  "Bumper to bumper" covers everything else, EXCEPT wear items.  For example: no warranty covers tire wear, filters,  or even clutch replacements usually.  The clutch can be construed to be a wear item, even if it was incorrectly manufacturered.

Crap I didn\'t notice that.  I forgot that Mitsubishi has copied Hyundai in the warranty battle.  It seems crazy for them to do so, considering that they have been caught concealing defects from the japanese government for years.
