ooooh, haven\'t been up to snuff on the latest but that sounds scrumptious.  It was funny hearing people complain how much blockiness they saw during the olympics in hd.  Maybe that\'s because the standard now is to use a 15 year old wasteful video codec.  Nice to hear they\'re taking steps to keep up with the times.

THey are adding over a thousand some odd HD channels in the next year.  IE) Locals

So they need the MPeg 4 for that.  It will look better at first, but eventually probably go back to the crappy blockiness they do.

Well, I\'ve only had the set up for one night. The stretching is not all that bad. I have a pretty good eye when it comes to video and it\'s not all that bad looking. Just the wide screen look alone is worth it. lol!

Thanks. Same here. After watching my first movie on this screen I\'ll put up with short and fat news people when I\'m watching regular TV.

congrat on your new toy.  I don\'t know what\'s the fuss about cable or directv...heh, even today i am still watching over-the-air analog tv, maybe i am not that kind of person that care about ridiculously too many channels which most are probably not worthy of watching.
