No Wire Cables on the way?

[cliff notes]Instead of cabling, you put a wireless transmitter on the back of an output device, and wireless input to the display.  Signal is interference protected, reliable.[/cliff notes]

This is a concept I\'ve often wished for, some (hopefully) small connection you put on the back of a system, and then a simmilar one to a TV, and no wires necessary in between.  Do the HDMI specs have power to allow this to be truly a wire-free system (no power cord), because if so, this kind of connector would be awesome.
