I was kind of planning on skipping UC3 for a bit since BF3 is tomorrow, then batman and assassins in a couple weeks...but that is one hell of a good review. We\'ll see how much BF3 occupies my time but it looks like ill be getting 4 games in about 2 weeks lol (granted one of them is free)

Yeah, I was toying with picking up BF3, but it\'s way too close to UC3, so it will be the next purchase after I have put some serious hours in to UC3.

I saw the perfect 10 IGN review. Crazy.

I usually hate fps/3ps shooters for the console, which is why I never got into this series... but I\'m pinging my friends asking if they have the first so I can borrow it. :)

IGN Review : 10/10

Closing Comments :

IGN defines a 10.0 -- a masterpiece -- as "the pinnacle of gaming, a masterpiece may not be flawless, but it is so exceptional that it is hard to imagine a game being better." That\'s Uncharted 3: Drake\'s Deception. From start to finish, single player to multiplayer, this game sings. The characters, the graphics, the sound, the story – they’re all top notch. If you’re willing to skip Uncharted 3, be prepared to miss one of gaming’s finest moments.

10 Presentation
The cinematography and the way the game tells its story blew me away. It\'s touching and entertaining.

10 Graphics
Amazingly beautiful -- just watch sand cascade from Drake\'s footsteps, water slosh across the screen, and the wrinkles crinkle on characters faces. Naughty Dog outdid itself.

10 Sound
Spectacular voice acting, fantastic sound effects and an emotional score.

10 Gameplay
Refined climbing and shooting are better than ever, but it’s the way your actions merge with the story that impress.

10 Lasting Appeal
Single player deserves multiple playthroughs, just like your favorite film. Multiplayer is deep as well as rewarding and will keep you coming back.

10/10 OVERALL Masterpiece
He has the power of both worlds
Girl: What power… beyond my expectations?
AND IT\'S PERSONAL
Demon: No… the legendary Sparda!?
Dante: You\'re right, but I\'m his son Dante!

Fantastic game, no doubt about that. There does seem to be a lot of grumbling
that there isn\'t such a monumental leap as there was from 1 to 2, but I also think people\'s expectations may have become too unrealistic.

The gun mechanics have changed as well, and the recoil has been bumped up significantly (you can get the specifics on the Naughty Dog site). Some people are claiming that the aim is off compared to UC2, but I think it\'s just a matter of adjusting to the new characteristics of the weaponry.

Within very little time I felt very comfortable with the aiming in the SP campaign, and I actually prefer it over UC2. The MP seems "loose" in comparison, but with some minor tweaks to the aiming sensitivity it works well in my books.

The MP has a different feel from UC2, not bad, just different. It\'s difficultly has definitely increased, particularly in the co-op modes.

Again, great game, a touch easier than UC2; managed to get the Platinum in less than a week, which is unheard of for me :)

just beat the SP. UC2 probably had a higher quantity of memorable moments (like you said, it was the first big leap...assassins creed had the same affect from AC1>2, then 2>brotherhood)

But UC3 had a couple moments that were the best in the series. Won\'t go into them since the game came out pretty recently. It did feel a bit shorter to me, but i might just be remembering UC2 wrong. Doesnt really matter though since I\'ll play through it at least 3 times

Havent delved too much into MP, but I have a feeling it will have the same problem of UC2 where the people who play the game a shit load will make it impossible for me to play. Hopefully my brother gets it so I can get some coop in
