Got meself a DreamCast! Finally!

Heck, I\'m so excited! I just spent the best week of this year with SmallLady, going on a cruise and visiting Stockholm and everything. As a nice cherry on the top, I finally bought a DC. I saved a truckload of money by waiting this long, and now that I finally have the machine, the games taste all the much sweeter after the long wait. Hot damn. Why am I wasting time here when I should be playing.

Anyways. I got :

• A DreamCast
• 1 × VMU
• Skies of Arcadia
• Sonic Adventure (it was cheap, and it is a Sonic after all)
• Grandia 2
• ChuChuRocket! (bundled in with the DC)
• And to top it all, SmallLady bought me Shenmue from Stockholm.

One month to go before the army, and seems I won\'t be getting too bored

I\'m gonna buy a used Dreamcast sometime. You can get one with ~30 games for like $200. I even saw one with 160 games for that price...

J/k.. but I am getting anxious to go pick mine up. Right now I\'ve got about 500 bucks to split between Rent, Car payments, Insurance, groceries, gas, cigarettes, PC upgrades, and videogames. Sorry to say, but the videogames are loosing... but soon.. hopefully.. I\'ll have the extra cash to get it. *Kicks his PSX* Grubles * Do you have any idea how sick I am of playing MOH and RE2 on this bastard????

I\'ll probably pick one up around August before I start school, if I have any money left over from my job. Hell who wouldn\'t get one of the best systems to date with Shenmue for the price of a GBA and Mario Advance.

On a related note: I don\'t remember how much the Game gear costed, but wasn\'t it around 100 bucks? Irealize there were other things wrong with the machine but wasn\'t the price one of the main complaints?

Well I dunno how much it cost at launch, but you could probably pick one up at a pawn shop or a video game trader shop for around 50 to 75 bucks. Which is kinda odd since it\'s basically a supped up SMS, and those only go for around 25 bucks a system.

nah. It was battery consumption, unability to fit in pockets, and it didnt say Nintendo on it. Remember, this was back when a videogame was called a Nintendo. Brand recognition is too strong in America.

IMO, GameGear is still the best handheld around. There were tons of classics availabe for it and you could play SMS games on it via the Master Gear.
