Yep, you didn\'t hear it wrong!!
You probably heard that Square had already announced that Final Fantasy X was completed several days ago and that\'s probably the reason why FFX was delayed from March released date to July in Japan. They wanted to add something and push the envelope of ps2 even further and polish it more. That\'s why we didn\'t see any real life shadow in Tokyo Game Show or even at E3. In TGS, The playable demo of FFX didn\'t have any real shadow for any monsters, characters, etc. It just a blob of black spot. But now, after the FFx is completed, we can get to see real life shadow and it looks darn good. It react to every characters, monsters, enemies movement. Even the summon music is pretty good too. I am not sure about the field area or world map area where Tidus runs around if he is going to have any real-life shadow or just a black spot. But I am 100% certain that in battle scene, characters, monster, etc. will have real shadow.
I just recently downloaded the 6 new movies from ign and there are three battle scene where Yuna summon her pet, Shiva, and Ifrit. These direct feed videos are transfered from the FFX final version because, when Yuna summon Shiva, i see her shadow, her wand (or staff\'s shadow), and even Shiva too! It looks smooth and awesome! So was when she summon ifrit, no more black spot, you could see the shadow copy every Yuna move like when she bend down and when Ifrit stand.
Now, that\'s what I would say graphically impressive.
