I don\'t know... I\'ve been on a lot of \'H/C\' forums and sites... they don\'t seem too happy with much on PS2, many proclaiming they dont want, or need one, because there\'s only \'mainstream\' fluff games. That being said, many H/C do have PS2\'s, and seem to be looking foward to games like Strech Panic, and other quirky games. Trust me, I don\'t think I\'m h/c, I feel I\'m somewhere in the middle. I get every system, have hundreds of games, and games are one of the most important hobbies I have IMO. On the other hand, I hate \'Shmups\', never cared for Neo Geo, and know next to nothing about a lot of older/import system.
I don\'t really understand your analogy, but it made me think of another word, minority, and underdog. The smaller group, less popular group. I have a tendency to side with the underdog in most situations, and in a way, the h/c, DC, XB and other things are kind of underdogs. That\'s why I stick up for them.
Errr... I think I went off on something totally unreleated though... I\'m rambling.... so i\'ll wrap it up with this, my generalizations werent meant to offend, or represent every single gamer. And I know lots of people not listed will buy a system. But the ones I listed are the ones who will be \'behind\' each platform. They will buy more stuff for \'their\' platform. There will be lots of crossover, but I think in the majority of cases (51%+) these stereotypes will hold true. That said, it does leave 49% that could be doing somthing I can predict. And like I said, these figures were my opinions to begin with.
Mind... rambling... incoherantly.... must killlllll itttt........
