I\'m beginning to see how Nintendo plans to tackle Japan by storm. As you know, Spaceworld is 50 days away with the GC launch right on its heels. During Spaceworld, Nintendo will reveal everything they\'ve kept hidden for 3 years. How will the modems and ethernet adapters work and cost?? What are Nintendo\'s online plans, the mysterious Nintendo-online?? Just when the hell is Yamuchi going to retire (or hopefull die...) ?? But more importantly, the NDA\'s will be shed from all the major developers. Here\'s a brief list of the number of games confirmed for the GC:
Capcom - 7 (2 being Mickey and RE0)
Namco - 2 (possibly Soul Calibur 2 and Ridge Racer)
Koei - 2
Acclaim - 5
EA - 10
Sega - 10
Nintendo - 12
Camelot - 1 (possibly Shing Force)
Tecmo might comment on Ninja Gaiden.
Square might comment on FFXI.
Konami might mention their plans, if any, for the GC.
Plus the other 100 games in the making by minor dev\'s.
I\'m sure we\'ll be in for other surprises that I can\'t even begin to conceive right now. Nintendo is extremely underrated. Half the industry is skeptical about their success, and many of the public ridicules their lunchbox console and Fisher Price controller. But it\'s always better to be underestimated, then be overestimated. When Nintendo unleashes everything they have, the public will acknwledge their prescence and will be excited about the GC, with the news hitting them so suddenly and unexpectedly. And what better time to launch the console less than a month later, when everything is fresh on people\'s minds?? As well as hype making explosive tides. If Nintendo can pull this off successfully, they will make an immense impact before this year ends.
