Maybe I\'ve posted some less positive things about PS2 graphics last week, but I\'m not giving up on it.
I think it\'s just with this so-called \'next generation\' console gaming that our expectations got out of hand. But a bigger issue
is imo, the developer industry itself. I think they all underestimated the complexity that comes with the \'128 bit\' era.
So, I think it\'s alot of wishful thinking from the developers side that rubbed off to us, consumer gamers and it back fired bigtime.

As for the hype with PS2.... here in Europe I\'ve seen zero advertising and marketing for the machine. The only ones who were hyping were the gaming press, in mags and websites.
I, personally haven\'t seen it from Sony itself.

You misread my post. I\'ve seen almost no ADVERSTISEMENTS for
PS2, nor corrupt propaganda by mag editors. Imo these ppl(the games media) have been stating their own hyped hopes as facts
about PS2. While nobody knew what it can do (it\'s still is kinda mysterious )That\'s something totally different !
Of course, Sony were being very arrogant when they
demonstrated their first "fantastic" PS2 tech demo\'s and they keep saying it\'s all great : But my point is that ppl themselves have been hoping for so much that, \'hoping\' turned into a hype itself. That perspective got skewed because alot of editors were part of that selfmade hype, and they have the power of journalism which readers took as \'truth\'.
