Prerendered, definately

Hi all;
just a quick hello to everyone, since I am a new member to this board.

Getting into this debate, I am pretty confident that the Resident Evil backgrounds for Cube are prerendered - and not real time. If it would be real time, I am sure they would show of the graphics and moving perspective more, since graphics like these have never been seen before (in real-time). Therefore, I am pretty confident that the backgrounds are prerendered.

The question that I\'d like to rase though is: can PS2 produce such graphics (prerendered backgrounds aswell)? I like to think so.. what do you guys think?

U are all forgetting something,  re camera angle\'s have always been pretty static, even in recv/dino crisis1 which had real time graphics, they rarly move around and just follows u sometimes.  And Shinji usually spends lots of time on camera angles trying to see what looks more atmospheric in different locations.  So they don\'t neccessarily have to move around.  Either way this is the best looking game so far for any system.

I think its pre-renedered. While RE:CV cameras did stay in place at times, it did move when it follows you (and more times then I thought it would). So far, haven\'t heard (and thanks to T1, seen. :) [BTW, while probalbly against school policy, unless I get caught, I should be fine. ;)) the same thing with the videos. In fact, all the scenes in the video, while the MOST impressive video I have every seen of a game, the camera didn\'t move no matter what he was or doing. However, while I believe it is pre-rendered, its still, the best in game graphics I have seen (and I do believe, pre-rendered wise, is possible with the PS2, though probably not prefectly exact [like less texturing here and there, but realatively the same]).
Opinions are not important.

I think it is rather obvious that it is pre-rendered, by watching the movies. Still, I could care less. For one, I\'ve always prefered the pre-rendered approach, because I hate free roaming camera\'s. I prefer it when the enviroment is static and the camera is closed in on me, it creates a certain tense feeling.

Another reason I could care less, if the backgrounds are pre-rendered is because of the actual character graphics. The zombies look friggin\' amazing! Same with the hunters, dogs and yes, even Chris. Not to mention the way Capcom has went back and fixed the rooms , so as they do look creepy, instead of bright and colorful.

It is just a damn shame that we won\'t see RE2, RE3 and RE:CV (X ? ) get the same treatment..

It\'s pre-rendered...it\'s not too difficult to realize...however I don\'t care...I\'m a RE whore and I can\'t wait for the remake of the first one :D !  Can\'t WAIT !

they are obviously pre-rendered, why?? Because the lighting looks 100 % raytraced, a technique none of the current generation consoles is capable of

but it still looks superb!
