I resent that.  All I did with my first two psxs is put games in it while it sat beneath my tv.  I never moved it, it never got bumped, they just stopped working.  Especially after the first one died, I was extra careful with it.

Just because yours still works DOES NOT mean every console out there is without defects.  Open your mind.

third is to conceal the absence of ideas.

I\'ve owned
  • PSX - 5
  • PS2 - 1 repaired twice
PSX #4 was my fault, got a little too excited soldering on a m0dchip.

Either your PSX was too close to something which gave out too much heat, I don\'t know. I\'ve had my PSX on for 4 straight days(couldn\'t find my memory card til the 4th day), lugged it in a suitcase, back pack, tossed around in the trunk of my car, dropped and kicked by accident.

I\'d say only a few were defective out of all the millions made. That\'s life. But man, to go through 5 PSX\'s? Your house must be extremely dusty and hot or there\'s too much humidity in your room. I find it hard to believe.

Twisted Metal 2 and Castlevania SOTN were 2 of the games that would skip and hang in my machines.  It was consistent across most of the PSXs I had.  I build computers and I\'m a programmer.  I know how to take care of my machines.
