Two places.  In the store.  And by my Gamecube. :)

Seriously there\'s a bunch of fun games, but you\'re probably looking for that "epic adventure" like are so popular on PS2.  If that\'s the case, you won\'t find it... for a couple weeks, anyway.

But if it weren\'t for SSX Tricky, I wouldn\'t have played GC in a while...  assuming I didn\'t spend my SSX money on Sonic or something.  Hell, I even almost bought Pac-Man World 2 just to play the old arcade versions...  If you\'ve got cash to spend, there\'s plenty of gaming to be had.  NBA Street and Sega Soccer Slam (or whatever its called) are said to be pretty good, too.  I\'m probably overlooking a couple titles worth mentioning, but without the cash to spend, and the pending releases of some major titles, I haven\'t been doing too much shopping lately.

Naturally I\'m looking for some traditional Nintendo games from Rare and other 1st second parties. But as to what I\'m looking for from third parties I want something that\'s not a port, and that\'s not an arcade game. Not necesarily an \'epic\' game (not that there are very many on any console at the moment), but definitely something with a story and characters in it. Resident Evil 0 would fit the bill nicely, anything along those lines.

As of right now most of the GC games out on store shelves that are not 1st party are indeeed token games or ports. The few, good, third party games that Nintendo has coming up or released are all from SEGA, some other developer needs to step up and make Silent Hill 3 for the GC, or how about GTA Miami? Those games speak for themselves, and they mean a lot more than just having the developers name on a list.

Anyway glad you\'re enjoying your GC :), I\'m by no means even considering selling mine, it\'s just that some times I feel kind of sad for the little guy.

Kangu: Yeah, I feel the same way.. although I think that the rollercoaster has just started.

SSBM, Pikmin, Rogue Leader = starting the ride.

Soccer Slam, NBA Street, Sonic Adventure 2 = slowly climbing the hill.. so slow..

Resident Evil, Mafia, Lost Kingdoms = reaching the summit.

Eternal Darkness, Wrestlemania X8 = starting down the drop..

Mario Sunshine and beyond in 2002 = the drop! Yeaaaargh!

2003 = we\'re flying by the seat of our pants through the rest of this 5-year ride.

How is that off topic? You said Nintendo maid X amount of dollars and I was merely saying that a lot of that money came from pokemon which is on it\'s last leg and I don\'t think will be bringing Nintendo those huge dollars like it did last generations.

QuDDus, putting Nintendo in the same boat with xbox is just flat out wrong.

GC launched with zero of the titles Nintendo is famous for and still held its own in console sales against xbox. In the wings Nintendo has several big time cows waiting to be cashed whose relaese will be accompanied by major spikes in console sales. Afterwards look for continued slow steady growth in GC sales over the years. Please consider, I\'ve got no love for Nintendo, I just realize how huge the fanbase is. Its the N64 scene again only under better circumstances this time around (a more developer friendly console, bigger third party support).

The nicest thing I can say about xbox is that I think MS will continue to support it for the next few years, though it might look to all the world as just a money sucking black hole for Bill Gates\' wallet.

Well its the truth pal. Nintendo\'s games are far and few in between, but when they\'re out, they sell systems. They\'re not in the same position as Microsoft and their Xbox.

QuDDus: The problem is that you don\'t have any idea how much 3rd-parties like the GameCube.

In numbers.. what PC developers give to the Xbox (a lot) is comparable to what Japanese developers are giving to GCN. As I told "tshirts" in another thread.. do some research before you post an opinion. Assumption sucks.

I was saying my question about "which Pokemon movie flopped" was off topic, not that you bringing those movies into this thread was off topic.

cloud345 and 007, yes, I saw Pokemon 1 and 2 in the theatres, and just recently saw 3 at home.  :D  IronFist is teh kiddie!
