I\'ll watch it, but only to scout Bettis, and a few others....then after the first couple of series, when all the starters are pulled, the game will promptly turned off.

I have to say that a lot of people are going to sleep on the RedSkins!

They have 3 of the ProBowl Calibur CB\'s in the league, Bailey, Smoot, and Green.

They have 3 Probowl linebackers.

This defense was good last year, it has IMPROVED.

The offense couldn\'t get any worse than last year, and last weeks preaseaon game showed some hope!

Banks is gone, stop talking about him.

The RedSkins will atleast be fun to watch.

definatly....i think that stiff arm will go down as one of the best ever dished out.  I love seeing that one everytime...expecially since he is a rookie and took someone to school.

I agree that the Skins will be pretty formidable this year.  Their D will be among the top in the league, the only week spot they have on defense is an aging green, and semi-week d-line.  Both of which if exposed, could spell disaster, if playing against a qb who could pick them apart if given time (Garcia, Warner, Manning)

Offense is a toss up.  No one knows if the fun and gun can translate into the pro game.  One thing is for sure, if Spurrier does well with the fun and gun, every defensive coordinator will lock onto it and do everything they can to disect it.  So Spurrier will have a year at most until he has to re-tool the offense.

Also, they may have problems controlling the ball.  Since they will be relying on the pass heavily, it could lead to many 3 and outs.  Some would argue with me that with Davis in the back field this won\'t happen.  But knowing Spurrier, the second Davis starts to get stuffed, Spurrier will abandone the running game.  This will mean that the D will spend alot more time on the field and Bruce Smith, Darell Green, Jessie Armsted and Dan Wilkinson won\'t be happy if they\'re out there for 40+ minutes a game.

Eve though a team with a solid defense, and and offense that can control the ball, will give Spurriers Redskins fits, I think they could be a surprise wild card team.

oh week 3 will be sweet, especially seeing the fun and gun trying to run against the niner D.  Ahmed Plummer will tear them up!  And Zack Bronson will probably put at least one wideout out of the game thanks to a shitty QB leading them blindly into the middle of the field.

I may be semi alone here, but I think the fun and gun will work at the NFL level.  I think the offense will be fine, and the defense will be great.  I don\'t think the D will be out there for 40 minutes a game at all.  I also think this is a playoff team.

We\'ll find out week 3.

And that Jets game blew. Ugh, what was the final score, I turned it off after the coin toss.

I thought it was ok at the start, with the starters in.  Preseason blows generally though.  The only game truely worth watching is the Jets Giants one, IMO, because with the city rivalry, the starters are usually left in a lot longer.

Darell Green aging?  Darell Green has been supposedly "aging" since he was 35+  And every season since his rookie year he has been a TOP receiver.  Green at 40+ years old is still one of the fastest CB\'s in the NFL.  It wasn\'t 2 years ago he was still the fastest man on the Skins team.  Green may no longer be the fastest but he can cover 95% of the recievers out there.  That says a lot for a 40 sumthin year old man who is short for a CB that has lasted for this long!

How can anyone bad talk Green?

I think the Fun&Gun takes away from the RedSkins usual predictable offense.  Even if the F&G works half of the time teams will be weary of it, they can\'t protect against the run and the pass at once.   The RedSkins can finally attack in the pass which they have been lacking the pass few seasons.  They went 8-8 with NO PASSING GAME last season, they have only improved this season...hopefully:facelick:

Those are all good games...if the starters play much.  When the starters are only in for a series of two though, it gets bad quickly.

And yes Beerstud, I think the Skins have only improved this year.
