Souly I play all my games at 1280x1024 with 4-6xaa/8xAF at 100HZ

Some people swear by 1600x1200, and that\'s fine. The big debate has always been 1280(with AA/AF) vs 1600. Fact of the matter is that it boils down to personal preference. So for anyone out that that must play there games at 1600x1200 and want s the best perforamce  stay away from the 6800 as the X800 Owns at high res.

i just dont understand why people keep playing the same game with better graphic since last 15 years..

FPS are outdated, boring, repetive.. just like RTS.

^ then you might as well not play any racer, fighter, rts, fps etc etc because they have ALL been done before.

check the reviews again, 6800u beats r400 in just about everything when AF isnt cranked (thanks to new drivers on 6800, when r400 is using 3 year old tweaked catalysts)

regardless, i already stated that they are both good cards, and the differences are negligible

its about features this time, not gonna split hairs over 10fps

I\'m curious how Ati\'s FireGL version of the X800 xt will work out.
Right now I have Nvidia\'s QuadroFX1000 (NV30 on the 45.23 drivers) workstation card and it serves me quite well at C4D and Maya. But it kinda sux at games with only a fillrate of 9,6 Gb. So, if I wanna upgrade it looks tempting to get a one of those new \'regular\' cards. The only problem with the Nvidia 6800 is the powersupply. I got a real good Antec truepower 380 W. I\'m not really eager to replace that psu, which is good in itself, just for that new videocard. So that\'s already one of the reasons why the Ati X800xt PE has my preference for now. Ati confirmed that a 300W psu will already suffice.
