IMO Capcom sucks and all they do are remakes of old succesful games like street fighter and mega man and when they do something new and nice they screw it later just like they did with DMC and Resi.

Yah, not only are the shimmeries reduced in replay mode, but extra filters and effects are added. The polygon count and textures remain the same and all that jazz, though.

Off topic, I went into my EB here today and they had the demo of Burnout 3 playing. The game looks, feels and IS freaking awesome. The crashes are HUGE. Can\'t wait.

The only extra effects I can see in replays are the camera focus and the heat hazing,The reason why less shimmering is shown during replays from what I see is because the camera is higher from the ground and thus textures and polygon surfaces are shown bigger.Also the camera is rarely positioned to view long horizon distances.It mostly focuses on cars and nearby objects.The smaller an object is viewed from distance the more shimmering we get.

I was on a boat trip a few weeks ago, and I saw shimmering on the water! I could not believe my eyes!

Are there any other links/mirrors to that vid fast? It just stops after i get to 8-9 percent and then I get 403 Forbidden error. Really irritating.

Thats weird.. Have you tried a download manager, the link is resumeable. (If you are looking for a good download manager I can recommend FlashGet; http://www.amazesoft.com/download.htm )

Lets see what other developers tried to spent time trying to add ultra realistic damage on each of the 500+ cars featured in the game according to the safety each car offers in real life.
Most people buy the game becuase they like it.And they are many.

You\'re blind if you think replay mode does not get rid of shimmering. It does and anyone who is not blind or biased will tell you that. The game is gorgeous in replay mode, but looked like complete jaggy shit in actual racing mode.

If the GT series is so pathetic, and has so much shimmering as you say (kinda weird that someone who constantly whines about how much better the 2D era was and that nowadays graphics are everything blah blah blah is complaining about some shimmering) then don\'t buy it, don\'t play it, don\'t discuss it.
