I used to be really bad about smoking a pack a day (or more).  But now I made myself leave my cigarettes at work, so I can only smoke them there.  So a pack pretty much lasts me a week now, and it\'s a good stress reliever at work... even if it is killing me.

I once quit for 6 months a few years back, but went out to a bar with some buddies that smoked and couldn\'t help myself after the 8th beer.  :(

My co-worker says accupuncture worked for him.  The doc put the needles in his ear (not the canal) and within 3 sessions his cravings stopped.

He told this to a woman who also wanted to quit, she tried it out and it only took her one session. :eek:

Worth a look if you\'re serious about quitting.

If he can control it to 1 a day it really isn\'t that bad.  I\'ve never smoked but 1 a day isn\'t going to kill you.  And if it does, something else would have killed you eventually anyway.

I\'ve never tried one. The only reason I could ever come up with to smoke was to get addicted and quit cold turkey just to be able to tell people they were pussies when a craving made them go against their will power as they tried to quit.

Blah...rehab is for quitters <---- has nothing to do with anything...

Anyway...hmmm...yeah...my dad stopped smoking cancer sticks when the doctor told him he had lung cancer...hmm...I don\'t know why he\'d stop after that :rolleyes:. It turned out it was just pneumonia, but that scared the shiz outta me. Plus he\'s had cancer before, but recovered from that...so I haven\'t seen him smoke in like 3 years.

My uncle is up to 2 packs a day...I think...and he looks like ass...like a walking corpse...except overweight? Never mind. He has emphysema, and at his last birthday party, he couldn\'t even blow out a candle. The doctor showed him his lungs...they looked like barbecue chicken. Smoking is really good for you...:D:D:D

k day one is almost done.

didn\'t have a pack of smokes today like I usually do.

so far i\'ve had 6 puffs (2 drags) from smokes my friends had going.

its been rough but I hope to keep cutting that number down day by day.

I smoked from 14-26, haven\'t had a cig or even a puff for 2 1/2 years.

Best thing I ever did. I\'d say it took me about 4 months before I just didn\'t care about them anymore.

Strange thing is sometimes I dream I had a cig and wake up and think I\'d ruined my 2 year run, then I\'d go hang on it was only a dream.
