Went to see it tonight. I don\'t want to ruin anything so I\'ll just say I was entertained for the most part, there are quite a few tense moments and of course a twist, a very good twist at that.
The film had a b-actor feel to it which is surprising considering there were some big names such as Danny Glover, Cary Ewles, and Monica Potter.
Anyone else check it out?
[SP]There are a few complaints I have that kept me from enjoying the whole film. My biggest complaint is the villain\'s motives, the whole "I\'m making you appreciate your life" thing is just tired for me, perhaps I\'ve seen too many of these types of films.
Another is the absolute stupidity of these characters. When Glover\'s character and his partner found the bad guy\'s hideout, and captured him after knowing what he was capable of, it amazes me they didn\'t call for back up. I realize they were in a heated situation but still, immobolize the perp with a shot to the knee cap and be done with it, jesus christ.
Another is when Adam woke up in his apartment without power. He knew someone was in his apartment and instead of making an exit he tried to find the guy with a camera flash...for fucks\' sake.
Lastly, why the hell didn\'t Monica Potter\'s character shoot Kep when she had the chance. Stick one in their shoulder or knee cap and they will live so you can still get information out of them, the benefit is you have them wounded and at a disadvantage.
Bah, it was just sloppy is some areas while being very cool in other\'s...the whole bear trap scene was very cool, as were the other situations the guy came up with. The twist had my jaw drop so I enjoyed that aspect of it.
I\'m mixed on it.
