Well, my predictions were wrong, but in a good way.

I think that OT loss broke the Sabre\'s back.  15 shots in game 3, and it would have been a slaughter if not for the outstanding play of Miller.

no shit... sabres can\'t solve that D for anything...oh well, now I can spend those 3 nights a week taking care of my yard...summer is only 3 months here, you know!

Ottawa will take the cup (barring jesus christ being signed to the sabres today) they\'re like hockey androids, they are....

WOW! whoda thoughtthat would happen?!? Roy scoring 9 seconds into the game, sabres up 3-0 , then blowing it and almost giving up the tying goal with seconds left

Saturday should be fun

Sabres seem to be uncannily good off faceoffs from center ice... looking back they\'ve had a scoring chance in the first 20 seconds of almost every period in the series thus far.

Man I wish we had come back, but this might help Ottawa (ahh, the silver lining on a dark, dark cloud), cause after we beat you in 5, they won\'t have to wait up to 13 days for their next series....

Damn you crossbar!!

Oh, and Chizz, Miller can be awesome, but he\'s not going to save Buffalo forever.  They need to get their grit back.

Really.... how the hell can we go out and justifiably party on the \'sens mile\' (Elgin) if it\'s 5 pm and light out after we win?!?

You should be happy it\'s an afternoon game though... Sabres have two stats going for them:

Haven\'t lost 3 in a row at home all year.

Sens went 1-8 this year in afternoon games.

You know, if you\'re a \'hockey stats make a difference\' kinda guy :p

at least it\'s not a 2pm sunday game, then all the drunks can sleep in tomorrow. Game on!

BTW, i\'d love to hear brian murray say "go sens go" 5 times fast... that would be hilarious.

Booyeah, baby..  Sens through another round in 5... doing the exact opposite to Buffalo as last year... 3 wins, lose 4, win 5 in OT.

Man I thought they were gonna do it in regulation till that 5 on 3.. Buffalo had better fix their 5-4 hockey before next year... two power play goals all series both on 5-3 (2 for.... 28?).   Ohhhh man.. Cars have been honking non stop since 5 this afternoon, it\'s awesome....  Car\'s fully decked out now, gotta get some water paints to paint it this week...

Hoping to win the cup in 6 (so I can be near the ice to see them hoist it).

Yeah, obvious disappointment here..., though not as bad as last year. Why they always cycle the puck in that same predictable sequence on the PP, I\'ll never know. At one point, I was telling kyoko exactly where it was going next, and of course I called the giveaway and the subsequent SH opp.

Well, I hope your sens take it, the cup belongs in the East, and tehn at least we didn\'t get beat out by losers. Great team you guys got this year.

Ok.. since I forgot to write a prediction down earlier (is there anyone here from California?)... Sens split in the pond.  Win 3 and 4.  Lose 5.  Sens win in 6.

PS: Tonight was an interesting game... coulda gone either way, methinks... sens need to keep hard on the forecheck.

and they need to shoot more than the ducks do. I watched the last couple minutes of the game, sens looked like they would tie it, but whats-his-face stood on his head to stop the last minute flurry of shots. Hopefully, I\'ll get to watch a whole game this week.

Well, there goes my prediction down the tubes.

Nasty game tonight... With the exception of Philips\' and Emery\'s exceptional play, most of the Sens were pretty flat tonight, and when they did have energy shifts they were forgetting the team system that got them here and trying to do too much solo.

With that said, I\'m not liking the direction that officiating seems to be going in the series, if it\'s unchanged and Anaheim wins the series then it looks like the old style trap-and-pick play will be back.  It is really an effective system if allowed, and everyone would do it if they thought they could get away with it (making a forward take more than one step to get in on the forecheck).

I hope your boys will pick it up here, who needs team disney having the cup? Agghhh... must have been a hard game to watch, I hate one-goal games...you can see them coming a mile away.

Tho it\'s physically painful for me to say this... go sens go.

Tonights game was much better, although Emery did let in a softy and look a bit shaky for a while after that in the second.  Fisher, Neil, Phillips, and Saprykin great games all.  Sweet to be back on ice that doesn\'t turn to mush within seconds, it really made a difference on passing and setups, as well as with speed.

Shubert and Heatley really have to find their legs and recover their skill from the rest of the season (Heatley hasn\'t scored in weeks).

I wonder if the Pronger headshot to McAmmond will be reviewed.  He\'s too valuable to be getting himself into any messes and if this gets him noticed again that will be twice this playoffs when loosing a (forgettable for him) game he looses his temper and possibly hurts his team by his actions.

In any event looking forward to heading down to game 4 on Monday.  We gotta steal one away though, on their crappy ice to win the series, I hope they can do that next Wed.

*EDIT*

UPDATE: Pronger got 1 game.

Arrrrgh!!!  I can\'t believe that it feels worse to loose the stanely cup than it does to go out in the third or second round.  Well, the better team won the series overall, hopefully this won\'t mean a return to the trap and pick next year, although it probably will, it having been so successful.

I also can\'t believe Alfie didn\'t get the Con Smythe Trophy... Head and shoulder\'s the most important guy to his team (I think they would have rioted in Anaheim if they had awarded it to him).
