PS2 Screen Centering, PLEASE read and help.
« Reply #15 on: March 12, 2001, 07:05:57 AM »
I have already tried the s-video maethod and it still has a border to the right of the screen but less!  Some TV\'s just don\'t do it and some do!  You really have to find the right combination.  It has cost me so much buying all the cables etc. and a NEW TV to get my PS2 set up properly!!
If you need help,
I will be there for you my friend,
I will never let you down.

Yeah i see what your saying, technically its Sonys fault they should produce a console which plays centre on *most* TVs. I know that it probably never happen due to loads of TVs being different but so far it seems the picture to the left problem happens to most people. So it seems Sony could have done a better job with it.

SVideo does seem to either Fix or help the problem, I haven\'t tried it myself but ill keep ya posted when I do.

The same problem happens with the Dreamcast.

Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike is just one example how aweful boarders can be. While other dc games have small boarders on the sides.
I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.

I guess some of us will just have to live with it. Unless you can adjust the centering on your TV to accomodate the PS2 output, the only onther option is to purchase a telly that doesn`t have this problem.

Im not sure you can purchase a telly to fix this problem since the PS2 is always off centre, the only thing i can think of is a telly which allows you to move the picture left and right but i have actually never seen these.
