Well, Earthbound 64 did see many more delays.. though that was canceled, so maybe that doesn\'t apply. ;) Another example that would work here is MSR; it was delayed quite a bit as well, if I recall.

Still, though--delays can\'t really be considered a good thing.

Sometimes delays can be the best thing on the planet here are some examples.

[list=1]
  • If it\'s an Army Men Game or other 3DO product
  • If the game need a little more work done to it.
  • If it\'s N Players and he need a shot of life saving anti venom after being bitten by a poisionous snake, look i am only j/k or am i muhahahahahhahahahahhahahahah
  • The Delay of the X box and Gamecube could be good to because it stops N player from changing sides like he normaly dose.

my god...some people just HATE me:laughing:

ooseven...(lol..okay)...what i said in my post is all facts(except my december date) even ryu would agree with them..so would that make him a bias anti-ps2 bigot? nuff said:D

sheesh...
. I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again, in terms of ingenuity, exclusivity, and console competition, X-Box brings nothing to the table except a fat wad of cash and some rehashed PC components wrapped with a DC controller and a plastic black box.----RYU

I\'ll believe it when I see it, that is all I can say. Nintendo is known for bad launches and I don\'t see this changing. Vendors had problems with the SuperNes\'s, the N64 was delayed time and time again and only had two games at launch.

Either way, the launch of the GC will be critical for Nintendo if they hope to make any progress into the so called "next generation".

I can\'t speak for anyone else but myself. I grew up on Nintendo since the beginning of NES. And while I enjoyed nearly every Nintendo game, I am grown up now.

I\'ll still enjoy a Mario game, but it\'s getting tedious to save that dumb b!tch of a princess for the 100th time. I\'d prefer a more serious-toned game. Doesn\'t mean it has to have bucket-loads of blood and profanity, just something a bit more serious. For example, Majora\'s Mask was much more intriguing to me than Ocarina of Time, simply because of its darker atmosphere. I\'ll admit that Nintendo is a great developer, but they need to expand and grow up as well. How many times is Miyamoto going to make a zelda or mario? I don\'t mind Mario, just change the damn plot. Looking back now, Mario 2 was a nice change of pace.

Hey DM,

I don\'t know if you care or not; but Miyamoto is actually working on some brand new franchises right now.

Actually I do. I\'d love to see what else Miyamoto can cook up. The few times he\'s gone outside the realm of mario/zelda (f-zero/waverace/etc) have been amazing. I don\'t blame him for making what people want (another zelda/mario), that\'s fine, that makes sense for business, but it wouldn\'t hurt to step outside the line every now and then. :)

Just to comment on the delay, I can\'t speak for all Nitendo fans, but I know I feel this way...

It used to be like "DELAY! DELAY!!!!" and I\'d be all "Oh crap, damn... ARRGHH!" ...

Now it\'s more like "hey, they delayed something." "oh?"

Heh, sure Nintendo would delay Christmas if it could, but by now I\'m so numbed to the delays that it doesn\'t matter at all.

Hey everyone don\'t forget that Nintendo originally said the were going to release the GC worldwide(simultaneously) in 2000. So it has already been delayed significantly.
