OMG the new SLIPKNOT album is near!

*gag* MudVayne. I know the lead singers cousin, so I\'ve heard so much MudVayne propagnda and the advance cd before they released, I was never impressed.

As for Slipknot, they\'re okay. I\'m curious to see what this effort will sound like. They\'re last one was pretty good, but needed some "polish". Either way, I think they stand a good chance of becoming one of the "big bands".

I\'m more excited about the new TOOL album this month! :D Not to mention, the new Depeche mode and next month the Tomb Raider soundtrack--which will have a new NiN (nine inch nails) song--"Deeper".
(you can listen to it via stream at Nin.com)

I gotta agree with you on that,I downloaded Schism the first single on the new album (Lateralus or something)

Tool is the only non deathmetal band I like. (I\'m just a huge death metal fan :D),though there are a few hardcore bands out there.

I think Tool is the best hard rock band in the world right now.

TOOL is awesome, so is A Perfect Circle (Maynard is the singer / lyricist / frontman for that band). I can\'t wait to see the new video Tool will have for their first single.

Which brings me to another point. Why do all music video\'s suck now\'a\'days, \'cept for TOOL videos?
*hugs my TOOL video collection..ah, I love this DVD*

I\'ve seen Slipknot live and they didn\'t impress me at all. Then again, a lot of music these days doesn\'t impress me (must be getting old or something...;)) I\'ll admit part of it is just that I\'ve listened to that style of music for so many years it\'s hard for me to get excited about it anymore. The last five years or so I\'ve started listening to a lot of different styles of music that previously I wouldn\'t have been caught dead with. I still like angry thrash/metal/death/whatever you wanna call it(hell, I listen to Bile all the time), but I don\'t mind checking out other types of music either. As for Deicide, I\'ve only seen them once, but I\'ve also seen Cannibal Corpse, Entombed, Sepultura, Obituary, Testament, Slayer, Napalm Death, Sacred Reich, Malevolent Creation, Cancer, Demolition Hammer, Coal Chamber, etc. (A lot of death/thrash bands come through New Mexico...:D)
