Well, we haven\'t decided yet and so I would like to get your opinion of our ( own compilation ) PC. Well, our TO-BE pc ( maybe ) :)

  • Processor: AMD Athlon 1,2 GHz / 200 MHz FSB
  • Motherdrive: ASUS A7V-133C 266MHz FSB
  • Central Memory: 256 Mt PC 133
  • Hard-drive: 30,7 Gt Western Digital
  • 3d accelerator: Asus AGP-V6600 Geforce256 MX 32 Mt
  • Shell: ATX-tower / Enlight 250 w
  • CD-drive: HP CDRW 9510i + 52x CD-ROM drive
  • Sound card: Sound blaster Live! 1024
  • Modem: ISDN / Telewell TW-5614SI ITU
  • MS Windows 98
  • MS Works 2000


Some of those might\'ve been translated wrong so I hope you understand the list :)

And it is still a PERHAPS. But we\'re getting a new computer anyways...

Congrats.  I got a new computer last year.  I was on it all night until 2 a.m.!  I was just a little tired after that.

My dad is still being gay aobut getting a new one so hopefully he\'ll be convinced enough to get one soon. He got a new keyboard today for it but I dont know why, its stilla  piece of ****, lol.

No-One what is that place I go to to show the comparision of my computer to the newer ones? I think I\'m gonna try that on my dad now...

I need an upgrade in the worst way.  I haven\'t upgraded anything but my sound and HDD in a year and a half.  
The one thing that doesn\'t seem "on par" with the rest of your system is the HDD.  If you have BB, and you use it (like me), you might consider getting two 40s or a 60.  I have a much, much older/slower/worse computer and I have 60 gigs.

me too me too - seems i just don\'t feel like sleeping until alte at night so i pass my time on the ol computer if i can

but i need to get a new PC pretty soon = probaly gonna get a new gateway but i am not too sure what i will get yet - but i am gonna try to get one with a GeForce 3

pfft that\'s nothing.Right now the time is 3:24 AM.I\'m usually in the computer till about 4.Then I go watch a Star Trek episode.

Well until I have to start waking up early again (next week) then I\'ll only be in the computer till 2 then I watch Star Trek

Hmmm... I COULD easily buy 40 gig HDD, but I think 30 gig\'s is enough ( for a start ) :)

I can always buy a new one if 30 gig\'s seems like a small space ( notice that I have survived with 2 gigs to this day ;) ).

We\'ll probably get that computer this week.

i don\'t know i think i would go with the 40 gigs

hell if i had a choice and money i would go bigger than that because i have had my 30 gig for a while now and its already half way full and i don\'t have a whole lot of stuff one there - plus games just keep getting bigger and bigger

I\'m going to upgrade to a faster computer too. My Pentium 200MMX is just about garbage anymore. Now that I\'ve got a steady income, I can start saving up to buy parts to stick in my old 386DX\'s case. I\'ll probably have to do quite a bit of work to it since I don\'t think any of the new motherboards have the old style keyboard hookups. As long as it dosen\'t have built on Com ports, USB, or printer ports.. then I think I\'ll be fine since everything but the USB can be hooked up by using a minimum of rigging.

I figure I can get everything else, like USB, on a PCI card.. and since my case has 8 expansion bays I know I\'ll be fine for space. (8 PCI/ISIS slots and 6 bays for HDD\'s or Disk Drives.)

It\'s gonna be a heavy b*tch when I\'m done too. Right now, just the case itself weights about 46lbs. I figure after I add in everything to it, I might just be able to top 50!  21 in X 16 in x 6 1/2 in ... and all solid steel except for the faceplate.
