I\'ve got Tony Hawk for GBA, Impressions inside.

Well the GBA games are arriving in stores, I picked up THPS2 at EB today. I\'m not a big Tony Hawk expert, but here\'s what I think.
It looks pretty damn amazing, I never thought the GBA would be able to do something like this, and it has done it in a launch title. The game looks and plays very smooth, but it is a bit tiny. The skater is really small, so it take a bit to get used to. The weird angle is difficult to get used to, but once you do, it\'s cool. If you are on the other side of a ramp, it becomes clear so you can see the skater.

The levels are pretty much the same, but my brother said they are a bit different (He\'s the expert). The helicopter doesn\'t take off, but the wind tunnel is still there.

The B button ollies, the A button grinds. Left shoulder does kick flips, Right shoulder does grabs, manuals are done with the D-pad, and then combinations of the buttons do other things, that I don\'t get.

The music is different, but sounds pretty good, not NES like or anything, there\'s some good synthesixed guitars and stuff.

There\'s no create a park mode, but there\'s a ton of levels, and the career mode is intact.

The boxes are the same size as GBC boxes. I was a little dissapointed with that, I wanted them to be like the Japanese boxes.

EB said titles would trickle in up until launch, then of course they will all be available.

It looks pretty 3D, but it\'s an isometric view. The screen is LCD. Some people think it\'s a bit dark, and maybe it is, but I like it fine.

Atari Lynx could do it. There\'s a worm light coming out for it. I also have the new Zeldas, and they actually look better in the stretched screen mode that you can do on the system. It only takes two batteries, and they last a long time, it\'s also only $99, so that\'s why it\'s not back-lit.

Thanks for the impressions aaron!

But I\'ve come to serious doubt about my decision to buy GBA, as I got the new computer. I just don\'t have money to buy GBA, games and along with it, some PC games - not that I would want to spend so much to games anyway.

But, those impressions got my hopes up. I must test the system before I make the decision \'tho...

Atari Lynx was a revolution of handheld gaming but nobody wanted it because it was no Game Boy.
