The NFL/Microsoft team up to promote the X-Box....
« on: June 05, 2001, 04:59:23 AM »
I seen this on ESPN 2, when NFL 2 Night was on, when Peyton Manning had an X-Box hat on......

XBox.ign.com confirms this.

During a recent interview with ESPN this weekend, Colts Quarterback Peyton Manning gave his thoughts on lazy teammates, and while we have to agree it is pretty lame that Edgerrin can\'t get of his ass and report to work, especially considering what they pay him, we were more intrigued by Manning\'s outfit, which included a hat with a nifty little logo on it.
And what logo, you ask? Why, the Xbox logo, of course. You expected an GameCube logo, perhaps? At any rate, from the looks of things, Manning has some ties to the big black \'Box, and while MS representatives had to "prepare a statement" on the issue, we\'re guessing that P-diddy is going to be their cover boy for this year\'s edition of NFL Fever.

We\'re expecting an official statement some time in the next few days, but it\'s hard to imagine any other tie-ins, so brace yourselves for the confirmation of the obvious. As for when James will report to camp, we stopped caring right about the same time we gave up on Charles Barkley ever being as funny as a commentator as he was a player.

That 500 million dollar campaign is coming.

What does this have to do with a Microsoft/NFL partnership? Its more like a MS/Peyton Manning partnership.

Well Microsoft did put the guy on the cover of their NFL Fever game so i\'d think Peyton would be greatful and do something for them.
