Anyone else have these bugs in Red Faction?

I have noticed a few bugs that have turned up to kill me in this game, and it more than bugs me a little.

Bug 1:  Bullets passing through people.  I have noticed ALOT spark patterns showing up BEHIND guards when shooting them.  This happens at point blank range.  Also, those little monsters in the tunnels will sometimes altogether stop moving and bullets will pass right through them.  They won\'t do anything until you step on them, at which point, they will attack you.

Bug 2:  This has happened to me several times.  The game will do something where it hiccups at the EXACT moment a guard shoots me, then my energy will tick down one point at a time until its gone.  First aid kits and medikits will NOT stop this process.

Bug 3:  Every fuel can I get for the flamethrower disappears.  It does not register in my inventory.

Bug 4:  Guards completely miss me, but, well after they are done firing, say, when they are reloading, I take damage.

There are others, I just can\'t remember them.  I need sleep, maybe I\'ll remember more later.

All in all, I think I like Red Faction, its just not what I thought it would be...  Maybe I\'ll write a review and let you guys know what I think.  I\'ll wait till I finish the game though.

The only one of those bugs I notice is when something take my life away till I\'m dead, think it was in the ice cave, though I was just frezing to death.   Also some times the disc has a hard time loading when I first turn it on.    One more thing, in underwater you can move through somethings like a dead shark, or small rock. I still love the game, it gets better and better the more I play. still not done yet, I\'m just past the jeep part. Wish I could play this game as MGS+ Snake

The only I have is that weapon sway is alway on even when I turn it off.

yeah..... what is weapons sway.... I noticed it in options mode but I didn\'t mess with it cause I didn\'t know what it was.

it\'s self explanatory, the weapon sways when you use the aim function

weapons sway sounds kinda stupid then.... cause I never really noticed the weapon swaying.... ah well...

well i personall already beat the game and havent had any of those problems at all

I\'ve found a major bug in this game and if it wasn\'t for my trusty 3 games saves I would\'ve been ****ed


The part after you kill Capek and then go down and meet the guy in the jeep. I jump in the back of the jeep and man the gun while he drives on. We then get past the 2 guard towers and he stops and says I have to clear the area before we move on, so I do. I kill everything but the jeep never moves

So I get out and walk the path till I reach the 1st flying droid which kicks my ass.

I had to reload the game 10 times before the jeep finnally proceeded all the way to the end of the path.

I was thinging about getting this game, I\'m not to sure now. Do you still like it even with the bugs?

I have no reason to know just where in the "length" of the game I am, but with only 2 saves to reload back to I can\'t seem to get off of the space station.  Everytime I try to use the escape pod, I die.  I successfully click the same freakin\' "green means go" switch like any other switch...I witness an outside cinema (that I won\'t go into for fear of spoiling) and then screen goes black & I\'m told I\'ve died.

Why do I think this is a bug?  Well, cuz one of my saves was done in a funky same split second that I was travelling down a hallway and the game did its "auto-load" to the next "level/pass through".  So why do I think that saving in that same split second has unleashed a bug?  B/C before I went through the "auto load" section the reactor was some number of seconds away from detonating...when I came out of the save/auto-load split second there was no more count-down (but the screen was still "jerking" like things were unstable.

Bug or poor player missing something?  You decide...

Yes, I was frustrated but I got by it, most people aren\'t experiencing these.

Overall though Red Fation is a game worthy of a purchase IMO. Its still fun

otu of allt he bugs everyone is taking about, i have NOT experienced 1 of them yet, im past the jeep part withou any glitches ddaryl, it may be a defective disk???? but everyone seems ot be havign them, well im sorry to here this

No one should miss out on this game, bugs or no bugs.  Several prestigious publications have already released similar reviews praising the innovativeness and quality this game possesses.  I cannot help but agree with them.  I have played the game several times at a friends\' house and I must say, I would be telling a falsehood if I said I was not the least bit compelled to purchase not just a Gamecube this coming holiday season, but a PS2 as well.  Screw the X-BOX, Bill will get no money from this gamer.  

i\'ve come across one of those bugs (flamethrower cannisters not registering amount),but there could be more though i wasn\'t looking for \'em,yet now that there are some listed here,i\'ll have to see if these happen to me as well.
