My 30 minutes with Extermination...

This game looks like it could be rather cool. I\'ve just picked it up but in some of the stores in my town were
selling it last saturday! Anyway i like the targeting system but i havn\'t got far yet so i cannot give you a
decent \'review\' of the game but on initial looks..... i like it.

I have it too and currently playing it,the music and atmosphere are frantic just like Aliens.

Those little critters never stop coming! The 1st person view rocks!

I\'ve been thinking of this game...... Does anyone know if this game is funner than Red Faction.... I\'m currently addicted to this game and want another.....

Damn kids, their still playing Medievil 2 so i havn\'t had a look in since earlier.
I\'ll play it later tonight, it should enhance the atmosphere of the game

I am not which game is better. Onimusha or Extermination? I will buy one of these games but I\'m not sure. I\'ve heard that Onimusha is very short.

anyhoo i should be getting this one after Kuri Kuri Mix (should be getting that one on Saturday).

Please post a review when you have dragged your kids of Medievil 2 long enough to play it .

im very intrested in this game, im a sucker for resident evil type games..

I\'ve been put off by this game. Both dailyradar uk and gamespot uk have gave this pretty bad reviews.

Dailyradar - Hit (but read the review)
Gamespot - 6.9

List of bad points both reviews mentioned.

- Lack original or thought provoking story.
- Bit too short.
- Gets boring, no incentive to play the game after a while.
- Very buggy, monsters walking through walls and such.

In the UK we have...

Extermination and Fur Fighters on Friday
Ring of Red the following friday
Red Faction a bit later
Tokyo Extreme Racer after that.

So I ain\'t going to get them all but one of them would be nice, so far it seems to be between ring of red and red faction. (PS no its not cause of the word red ).

Hmmm i have read an greater amount of review that said that they loved it.

look i am sorry but it\'s no why ars Good at DMC........and it\'s like that and thats they way it is.

Here is my list of horror games that i likes.

• The Devil May Cry (oh Dante you silver haired red suited love monster take me to gaming haven now BABY...)
• Onimushia (Zombies with blades what more could you want.... well apart from a Half Human/Demon Hero with big guns and swords)
• Extermination (Panic horror with time activated events NICE )
• Resident Evil CV (sorry but its the forth one and it need new blood pardon the pun, hance the development of DMC oh yes)

Note that the 5th game Silent Hill 2 is soo Scarry that its classed as a super Horror game and therefore in a leauge of its won.

yeah thats right the thing that scares me more in the world is half naked mutant nuirses waring nothing more than black undies chacing me down a dark and rat infested hotel in that lovely US town Silent Hill.

i find its hard to belive how people can make scary video games, but yes, the school level in SH1 is the scariest thing i\'ve ever played, thoes little kids with the knives...AAAAAHHH!!!!!!

I didnt notice any of the bugs DR UK is talking about? Perhaps they got an un finished version?
Anyway the game rocks, there only one point that bothers me : the targetting system when you\'re close
to a monster, I don\'t find it very accurate.

But it\'s a great first survival for PS2

Ahh yes you are quite right there DMC is looking Awesome, but this will tide me over nicely.

Impressions:

Its good,faster pace than Resident Evil.You don\'t need to worry about running out of ammo for your machine gun because at certain places,there  are deposit machines that you can use to withdraw bullets.In other words,the ammo supply is infinite but only for your standard machine gun.

The weapon system is great,for example you can equip a scope and snipe your way like Solid Snake,then a shotgun or flamethrower can be fixed into your standard machine gun therefore enabling you to fire machine gun and shot gun rounds simulataneously.

The music is good too,one of them sounds like a heartbeat and a suspense tune in the background.The other was also panicky,there is this alien 2 like music when all the leeches suddenly crowded the room.Just beaten the first boss,this game is more like the movie "THE THING" than resident evil.

You can place the camera into behind the character or 1st person view for accurate aiming.

A good fast paced horror game.
