What game have you played longest?

I don\'t mean constantly without a break or anything gay like that...that has been done before. I mean, what game have you logged the most hours onto without going back 10 years later a playing it again. That means games like Sonic, Mario Brothers, Pitfall, etc are out, unless you played Pitfall when you were young for like 300 hours in one month.


Mine would have to be Phantasy Star Online. I remember raving about this game when I got it. So much pleasure came out of this game that I played over 350 in about a month. Then my interest piked and I havent played since. But still, that is quite a feat. That is pretty crazy, noting I was still in school at the time! I would actually stay up all night, go to school and sleep during school, dreaming of course of PSO, come home and basically start it up again, and play all night. I did those like 3 night straight before I basically passout from lack of sleep.

its hard, as just about every game ive ever owned i dont stop playing for the first month...hmm...either Final Fantasy 7...Resident Evil 2...Dune 2 (on megadrive/genesis) Mutant League Footbal (genesis) Rock n\' Roll Racing (Snes and Genesis) (back in their days) Half Life...

but most likely Final Fantasy 7 gets the award...i still play it consistently, after i got it way back in 1997

The game I played the most, not necessarily in one sitting, over about a months time, while rulling out older titles? Hmm . . .

RPG\'s come to mind first. I logged over fifty something hours in Lunar II in under three days in January. I added about another ten hours to the figure durring the month completing the Epilog. Still, that\'s no three hundred.

Allot of my RPG experiences are allong the same lines, with FFVII heading the lot. If memory serves me correctly, I logged around seventy hours due to leveling up.
But, still, that\'s nowhere near three hundred hours. No, I\'ve never played a RPG for three hundred hours. I\'m going to have to consider some platformers.

Mario 64

I never timed myself, but I played that game all the time for a month when I bought the system back in 96. I completed every task, got Yoshi, and stll played the game constantly. For about a week, I clocked at least twelve hour gaming sessions daily. I truly believe, with litle doubt, I easily reached such a high number of hours with this game. Or, at the very least, I came damn close to doing so.

Anyway, that\'s my best guess for now.

Easily the Quest for Glory series. I don\'t think there\'s been a year since I got the very first game that I haven\'t played through the entire series (or at least, what I had of the series) at least 6 times. I\'ll also get to jonesing for it a few times a month and play for about ten to fifteen minuites just to kill time, have fun, and bring back that warm glow of nostalgia.

Funny thing is.. for all the times I\'ve played them.. (Over an 11 year period) I still ocassionally see things I never knew existed in the series. Weither it be something minor like a new message/description or something major like an easteregg or event... I\'m always finding new stuff in the series.

sigh, as cliche as it might sound, final fantasy 7 (about 250 hours)

EASILY FF7, i got this for christmas in 1997, and have also played it continuously... i\'ve EASILY racked up 500 hours at the LEAST. I\'ve played it quite a bit

As for other games, I spent a bit of time with secret of mana back in it\'s day, and even today crack out the SNES for a quick game... thing is that quick game always turns into a long game. Another one would be Zelda II: The Adventures of Link. PLENTY of time spent there, easily over 100 hours.

Ninja Gaiden.
I beat it, go back through it, beat it. Repeat cycle. Have since the day it came out.

FFVIII, still can\'t beat it and I am right at the end.  The bosses are just to much for me.

Soul Blade. That is the best 2 player fighter around. Never played Soul Calibur so I cant judge that one, but me and my brother still play Soul Blade.

ISS DELUXE (SNES)

Well for me it is either Secret of Mana - i mean me and my friend would never sleep and would just keep building up characters and stuff in that game even after that we would search for all the weapon orbs and just have fun - it never got old to us - but hey most people are easily entertained when they are young - yea i remember we use to pause the game and just dance around to it all stupid like

also i recently have been a TTT fanatic - i can\'t stop playing this game and learning all sorts of crazy combos and juggles - i hope that soon i can become really really good at this game - i can\'t wait till it goes online - dang it would be awesome
