Im sure most of you have seen this before, but what could that be sitting next to that guy? is it...IT IS!! Its an Ocarina!! Do you think the devs put that in there to make fun? I know the Ocarina is like the universal instrument in these type of fantasy games but comon!! ITS BLUE!!!! I took these shots from my tv with my digi cam, the colors didnt turn out that great, but its blue in the game, believe me.

I think its the best game on PS2 yet, but I haven\'t played Red Faction yet. But out of all the PS2 games this is my favorite.

well once you do, that will be the Best game on the PS2 :)

im gonna go buy Dark Cloud in about 20 min. so ill chekc it out then :)

oh and 1 more thing, i know ill probably sound like a fool for this but since i am going to keep my PS2 horizontal from now on i was htinking of trading in my PS2 vert stand and buying a PS2 horizontal stand ? what do you think, i know it does absolutly nothing but it will look better?

Nope, not stupid at all. Buy a stand for whatever position you like it. Know why? If you leave your PS2 on carpet it starts to build static electricity up, and after about 3-4 years its broken (this has happened to my PSX and others). The stand sheilds it from that.

Get the horizontal stand cuz it will look a lot cooler and it will help the static electricity from taking over.

well the game is awesome and i do think that it was there to mess with the zelda series since people try to compare it to zelda and all

and i have my PS2 in the vert stand and nothing is worng with it

I don\'t know if anyone else posted this, but I found another funny thing in Dark Cloud.  I re-named Toan "Nadesico," but after I beat the Ice Queen I was refered to as Toan!  Don\'t that beat all?!?

This game is seriously underated. Granted there are some faults that keep it from reaching zelda status. Some of the zelda comparisons are a little unfare I think. Once you get into the game you realize most similarities to Zelda are on the suface. It\'s a wierd mix of secret of mana and Zelda and something else that I can\'t quite figure out.  But it all adds up to something totally unique and special.  The biggest fault I can find is that because the dungeons are randomly created, the puzzles suffer alot, you won\'t find those special clever puzzles that you find in well thought out and designd dungeons. But the replay value is the upside of this.  Over all everything, world building, weapon building, and dungeon crawling are balanced and well paced to keep things fun and interesting. Oh and they actually managed to get a story line in there which also adds those special warm and fuzzy feelings.

Secret of Mana?

how so.. i see nothing similar besides its an action rpg - i mean secret of mana is no where like this game - not saying its bad - but it just doesn\'t go together

anyhoo - i guess i am too much of a mana fan

I dont know why/how people can compare this game to Zelda, its a completley different game IMO.  If you think this game sucks because its not like Zelda, then you must be a Zelda nut and every game you play must not be as good as Zelda. Granted, Zelda is an excellent game, but there is no way you can say this game sucks because its not as good...that pisses me off.

You will like darkcloud most likely

DC is Actraiser, Soul Blazer and Alundra with some zelda elements combined into one game
